Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness disappointed many fans by portraying the Scarlet Witch as a villain, though it felt like a mostly logical next step for the character after WandaVision (even if her arc was a little rushed). 

Since then, there's been a lot of speculation about her MCU future, with a new report from The Cosmic Circus claiming Wanda Maximoff is very much alive...and in a "dormant state" at the end of The Witches' Road. 

That location will be introduced in Agatha: Coven of Chaos and a Marvel Studios Special Presentation; Elizabeth Olsen isn't expected to appear in either, but both projects will establish what that plane of existence is, leaving the door open to the Scarlet Witch returning down the line. 

As for that other WandaVision spin-off, Vision Quest, that's expected to loosely adapt Tom King's Vision run by having the android create a new synthezoid family comprising of Virginia, Viv, and Vin. That's one way to get over your ex, anyway! 

We're not anticipating Wanda showing up there either, but the site is confident a solo Scarlet Witch movie or TV show is in the works and would be a mix of the character's 2016 comic book series and The Children's Crusade, bringing a close to the story that kicked off in WandaVision. 

So, what of Earth-838?

Marvel Studios is reportedly keen to return to the reality we saw the Scarlet Witch lay waste to, with it set to be the focus of Deadpool 3. 

We're going to see what became of that world after Wanda killed the Illuminati, with it now a "dystopian future led by a handful of individuals who were related to the deceased members of the former Illuminati." They wish to wage war on Earth-616, no great surprise when Sir Ian McKellen's Magneto is among their ranks! 

He'll be portrayed as Earth-838 Wanda's father, though we've previously heard the villain will manipulate her for his own means. Once again, it's unclear whether Olsen will be part of this movie, but her presence will certainly be felt.

VisionQuest is an adaptation of Tom King's The Vision?

This is basically WandaVision all over again, but with no Wanda. Why? WTF is the actual point?

Also, I really hope the 838 rumors are untrue. It's not a reality that anyone is invested in. It's not any of the Fox timelines, because if it was they would have all the wacky differences like green means stop and red means go, etc.

People were already slightly pissed that this was the only major reality in MoM instead of just visiting realities that we have an attachment to like one of the Fox timelines (even though hey had Patrick Stewart and Mister Fantastic in the movie). If Deadpool 3 does the same then we know the studio is trolling us.

@ObserverIO - rumors (yeah) are in DP3 they end up in the Foxverse to stop the Witch, with the help of Janssen's Phoenix.

I for one really enjoyed MoM and let’s be honest it’s the best MCU movie since Endgame with the exception of maybe NWH and that relied heavily on Sam Raimi’s amazing castings.

No, I still don't buy the Wanda rumors for Deadpool 3. That whole thing doesn't even sound like a Deadpool movie, sounds too grand and fantastical, and id just yet another re-hash of the Dark Phoenix story. And doing the exact same thing with Wanda again is just boring.

It seems very likely that they will make Deadpool 3, the film that finally unites Reynold's Deadpool and Jackman's Wolverine, will mostly be a very serious film about Magneto and Wanda. I think this one is solid gold, take it to the bank.

Wait, earth 838 wants to wage war on earth 199999 (I'm never calling it 616 because that's not the mcu designation)? If they don't know the details of what happened then they'd be under the impression their Wanda killed the illuminati. Why would they assume another variant took control of her body even if she said that?

And if they do know the full details, then they'd know dr strange of 199999 was specifically there to warn them, and they ignored his warnings. At best, they should be trying to get into earth 199999 for the scarlet witch. Not waging war on that universe itself.

Remember when the mcu used to feature humans making rational decisions?
