"You look like Freddy Krueger face-f***ed a topographical map of Utah". Ryan Reynolds delivered the laughs as the title character in Deadpool, but T.J. Miller's Weasel was certainly a close runner-up. In a new interview with CinemaBlend, Miller revealed some of the details of his X-Men contract, and whether we'll see the character in the future or not. “Deadpool is not going anywhere anytime soon,” Miller said. “I think there’s probably going to be three more installments, a Weasel spin-off. I’m contractually obliged to do the cameos in other X-Men universe stuff, so there’s plenty more Deadpool to come.”
While the likelihood of a spin-off centered on Weasel is small, Miller maintains that it's a concept that he's excited about. “I’m excited about the prospect of a Weasel spin-off,” he said, “because he makes this super suit, that’s not great and it’s a superhero in Las Vegas protects casinos. I mean, it just, everything about it is perfect for me…what if the Iron Man suit was sort of budget, like he can’t fly, but he can hover three or four feet.” Miller is joking of course, but this isn't entirely out of the question, as it happened in the comics when Weasel took on the short-lived identity of 'The House'. Given Deadpool's style, it's quite likely they could adapt this to poke fun at the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In terms of where he'd like to see the character go in a Deadpool sequel, Miller wanted to partake in some of the bloody action sequences. “I keep asking them to give Weasel some guns,” Miller said. He adds, “If they’re not going to bring me into that aspect of it, then I’m okay with that too. I think the physical comedy in action sequences is fantastic. Like 21 Jump Street did a great job with that. So that’s kind of what I would like for Deadpool 2.”
