The MCU really has evolved into a massive movie reality, and what better to initiate the darker part of the universe than introducing the cybernetic savior Deathlok. The character is essentially a dead guy who is changed into a powerhouse cyborg thanks to the Roxxon oil company's experimental project. He becomes a military hero in his own right, while also trying to maintain his humanity. Here I have made a list on why Deathlok could eventually make his MCU debut:
1)Marvel owns the guy's rights (obviously, but I just don't want to hear any arguments on whose got him).
2)The Roxxon oil company has already been referenced in previous films, such as in Iron Man, Iron Man 3, and Marvel One-Shot: A Funny Thing...Thor's Hammer. Whether they were just easter eggs or references to the character, they have proven that Marvel knows what to add to their broad universe.
3)With Marvel's Agents of Shield focusing on the humane characteristics of the universe, Deathlok could also be a good candidate in being featured in the series. Heck, the character has already previously helped SHIELD in the comics, so why not in the live-action show?
4)It would be a good way to provide the MCU with a robotic character, an interesting new aspect to bring to the mainstream franchise.
Whether this happens or not, I hoped you enjoyed reading my opinions on why Deathlok should be introduced in the MCU continuity.
