TOY STORY 4 Is Tracking For Up To $200 Million At The Domestic Box Office Opening Weekend

Nearly 24 years since the original that started it all, Toy Story 4 will be the latest in Pixar's landmark franchise. With that comes anticiaption from generations of adults and children, all of which grew up watching Woody, Buzz, and the gang over the past few decades.

Recently, tracking from the trades hit the web regarding the domestic box office opening for the sequel. So far, presales have indicated hype in line with last year's Incredibles 2, maybe even moreso. Currently Fandango and Atom Tickets are reporting that Toy Story 4 is significantly outpacing the superhero family sequel. The 2018 film opened to $183 million last summer.

Currently the estimates for Toy Story 4 range from $180-$200 million. Both sides of the spectrum are nothing to scoff at, considering the fact that hitting any mark on it would provide one of the biggest theatrical openings of all time.

Will you be contributing to the film's opening weekend?

@Kevwebsz - If it wasn’t Pixar, I’d have more doubts... but I’m happy to see something original from the studio again instead of more sequels.

@Kevwebsz - Hey it's something original, that's what everyone wants right?

@Kevwebsz - @dracula - It looks like a road trip movie yeah, but this is the actual premise of the movie: "Two teenage elf brothers, Barley and Ian, embark on a quest to discover if there is still magic in the world in order to spend one day with their father, who died when they were too young to remember him". That sound pretty emotional and right up there in Pixar's ally. Can't wait!

@Tcb97 - Okay that seems like it could be interesting.
on another note........what is wrong with this site, I didn't insult anyone or anything, I just gave my thoughts on the trailer and my comment is removed.

@dracula - If it makes the money they are projecting...this will not offer anything close to an ending!

Yeah, right.
We’ll see in about 6 years .
I predict there will be an investor call where Iger proclaims a return of a few Pixar sequels.

@dracula - The 3rd film was the last one, as far as I'm concerned.

I fought to justify a fourth Toy Story for a while but I can't anymore after seeing all the trailers. Nothing about it looks special.

People bitch about too many sequels. People bitch about original properties. What else in new?
LongMayHeReign

@TheUnworthyThor - Especially considering that by the end of 2020 Pixar will have had a span of 5 years in which the will have produced 4 sequels, and 5 original films. You can't make everyone happy so you make great films and a billion dollars worth of people happy instead.

I was thinking it wouldn't make Toy Story 3 money, but maybe I'm wrong.
