Without a doubt, the movie's visuals are one of its strongest attributes (not surprisingly, Doctor Strange is one of the 20 official contenders for an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects), but the movie could look much different.  A batch of Ryan Lang's (Big Hero 6, Wreck-it Ralph) artworks has surfaced showcasing some new alternate designs. 

This beautiful collection contains concept art for brawls in The Mirror Dimension and Hong Kong, the astral fight in the hospital, the alternate designs for The Ancient One and Kaecilius and more!

This is some really dope art, love the film, it did maybe rush a bit with building doctor strange himself as he just became a great sorcerer pretty quick from what we were shown, otherwise one of my fav films of the year

One of the things I really appreciated was the way they blended the magic and martial arts stuff (and you can see it in some of those pictures). And how it didn't really feel like "real martial arts", but like a child's fantasy version of a Bruce Lee movie.



I'm actually eagerly awaiting that sequel announcement more than I thought I would. Doctor Strange is basically the best Dragonball movie we're ever likely to get.
