Rebooting Daredevil's franchise are we???

Tell ya the truth, Elektra's wouldn't hurt either. Why not take a shot at two birds with one stone?

It's old news that Fox has plans to reboot Daredevil's franchise. My question is, why??? I deeply enjoyed the first movie even though it was a tad less gritty than i'd hoped, the fighting scenes needed a whole other choreographer and the CGI needed restructuring. But all in all, the movie was still a great comic book storyline and the characters were pretty well acted for the most part. The movie definitely reached decent levels if ever compared to other atrocities.

Which brings me to it's sister franchise, Elektra. How could they possibly wish to re-image Daredevil and not Elektra. Elektra has probably been the most ever wronged comic book character in comic book movie history. Catwoman will always have Michelle Pfeiffer which is a hell of a lot more than we can ever say for Elektra's case. Jennifer Garner wasn't a bad choice for the character's origins however, after her character's father died followed of course by her own death, her character went beyond Garner's ability to portray. In her own solo movie, she made the character the biggest lackluster ever.

Now i have heard that Fox had chosen Frank Miller to work his magic kinda like what he did for the character's comics in the past. They have also voiced their interest in casting Jason Statham for The main role however, Matt Murdock is as big of a half of the character as Bruce Wayne is to Batman. As "In The Name Of The King" proved, Statham falls flat on his ass when it comes to romance. Not to mention the fact that he has zero charm. Matt never had trouble getting phone numbers (which of course Foggy had to reed to him later on, on account of the lack of brail on the napkin). He can fight like the best of them but there's also a reason why Ray Park is wearing a visor and rubber lips in his last piece of work. You either have it or you don't. Statham doesn't. I have already stated MY interest in seeing Clive Owen in the role but studios never listen to us. And seeing how DD has a mask that also covers the eyes, i didn't see the point in sketching him in the outfit. Elektra on the other hand...

The actress i've chosen left me breathless in her film Doomsday. Honestly, if i wasn't sitting down, i would've broken a hip!!! Yes, she was that amazing. And then, she decided to grace us with her presence yet again in one of my very own favorite film franchise, Underworld. She stared as Victor the Vampire Lord's daughter, Sonia. She could very well be concidered the very best aspect of the film. She has a natural fierceness that i hadn't seen since Traci Lords in Blade!!! She's a cold, calculating, merciless killer that can kick an ass at the drop of a dime!!! She(along with Shibazz) is one of the very few women that arouse me as much as scare the living piss out of me!!! Honestly, i ask you the question. Who the hell could ever fill Elektra's boots better than her??? And so here she is...

My sketch of Rhona Mitra as Elektra!!!
