According to La times the Jl movie will be based on JLA 183-185.

Simply summarised we have earths greatest heroes magiaclly transported to New Genesis by the New Gods in order to free the Planet from Apokolips enslavement, and stop the ressurection of Darkseid. The heroes also end up having to stop the plot to destroy earth and replace it with Apokolips

My thoughts:Its very interesting to say the least and it has so much potential.

Firstly it is drastically different from the the Avengers 1 as the bulk of the storyline takes place on ANOTHER PLANET-not Earth.Just thinking of the visuals of the league fighting in a futuristic planet against the hordes of apokolips is fapworthy.

Secondly The story has some heroes being transported from parallel universes. So the stry cld incorporate the idea that each hero inhabits a solo universe unto himself and are only united on New genesis by being summoned. They dont have to be in a shared universe for the story to work. Its freaking brilliant. Also introducing a multiverse concept opens the door for a Crisis

Its quite a thrilling concept.Reading through the story Im quite pleased to see Wonderwoman has a good role in this story.

It goes without saying but this story as awesome as it is needs major modification.compression, and plain cutting. We can already guess that the hero lineup will be different from the story-Probably only be Superman,Batman,Wonderwoman,Flash,Gl,(no JSA or Firestorm).
The original story might have had the Injsutsice league working on behalf of Apokiliips but introducing the injustice league is not wise especially without solos.Id replace them with Appelexians/Hyperclan.They might also have to cut down on the New gods mythology in the story.Overall howver its a good story

…BUT there is a BIG Downside to using this story

Avengers 2 might well take place in space if the Infinity gauntlet rumour is true.If this is true,a Justice league movie willl be called a huge copycat if they follow suit by having an adventure in space. Its amazing that as awesome as this storyline is its the one storyline that worsen their copycat situation.Because Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet storyline is the perfect Cockblock to Darkseid and this storyline

"I am now convinced that Marvel deliberately picked Thanos because they somehow knew of DC/WBs plans for a Jl movie.Because Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet storyline is the perfect Cockblock to Darkseid and this storyline"

Except the justice league hired someone to write a script a month or 2 after the avengers took the box office by storm. And add to the fact the avengers script was written in 2008 and joss whedon re-wrote it when he signed on. So you're theory does not work.

Will Beall was hired to write the script about a year before Avengers came out. It just wasn't known until a month after Avengers.

Personally, I'm not sure how well this plot can work for the first JL movie, especially with Man Of Steel likely being the only movie that builds up to it. They could at least take out the Justice Society of America. Plus the whole replacing Earth with another planet story was more or less the plot of Transformers 3. Still, if they can make a story like this an amazing film and don't mess it up much, I'll forever love Warner Bros.

I absolutely hate this idea because it sounds like it be like Tranformers 3 and not just a similar plot but all action and no character development. It essentially is just a ploy to throw all the characters together all at once.

It would be like visual candy floss - all style/action and no substance.

Look at Star Trek TNG. One thing that made it a fantastic series was the chemistry between the characters. It is this chemistry that is needed for a JL film. Therefore, you need time to develop that chemistry and if WB went according to the rumour, well I think there won't be much time for enough chemistry between the characters.

If a JL movie is about 2 hours 30 mins in length, then the first hour is spent establishing how the characters meet and how they get along (or don't get along). The last hour or so can come down to the bulk of the action. Some action will be within the first hour such as Superman vs Green Lantern but that is all part of establishing the team and the chemistry.

That sounds laughable. I mean seriously it can´t be that bad, I know can´t, DC and WB have made some crap in past, but that sounds pathetic.

It will bury the company, it honestly will, they´ll find themselves shocked when only comic book fans and a few others go and see the film.

I truly believe Thanos and Darkseid are just quite similar in their design, Datkseid is more about war, domination, brain washing and Thanos us more about dead just killing to please the dead, no real deep motivations

Does anyone remember that story when Spiderman is rushing to take a little girl to a hospital and them i Guess there is an explossion and he and the girl die, and then Thanos convinces the Dead to let him go cause it is not his time yet? Does any one remember the story's name? In my opinion that is by far best Thanos story after IG.
