As sad as it may be I fear it is necessary for a reboot and these are my choices for it...

First I’m going to start out explaining why I think a reboot is necessary (after Batman 3).

As we all know: after Batman 3 Christopher Nolan and Jonathan Nolan won’t be coming back to make Batman 4 and if Christopher Nolan won’t be coming back then Christian Bale won’t be coming back (and I think I speak for most of us when I say that I am really tired of Bale and his cancer voice). Continuing that Batman series without the Nolan and Bale just won’t be the same. It will turn out like Joel Schumacher taking over the last Batman series: New actors, and a complete change in direction.

Also Christopher Nolan directly stated after making Batman Begins that in his “Nolan-verse” no other superheroes exist and fictional heroes were never invented. NOT EVEN ZORRO. How is a world with no other superheroes going to work out if they want to do a Justice League Movie?

I think that they should leave Nolan’s Batman Trilogy as it is and make a comic book faith Reboot which I will present here.




Director: Zack Snyder


Zak Snyder’s adaptation style is what I would like to see in a Batman Movie: close adaptation only slightly straying of the source material, and of course epic slow motion fight scenes.



Bruce Wayne/Batman: David Boreanaz (Bones)

I’ve heard that he was supposed to play Batman in Batman Begins before Christian Bale came into the picture. I think that it’s actually a pretty good choice for Batman I guess he just has that…presence.



Alfred Pennyworth: Sir Ian Mckellen (X-Men, Lord of the Rings)

The problem with casting Alfred is that on in the world actually looks like Alfred. But I figured I would at least find someone that has the same build as Afred. Take Ian Mckellen: add some makeup and boom! Alfred.



Lucius Fox: Billy Dee Williams(Star Wars)

Morgan Freeman would be impossible to replace but for some reason I always thought Lando would be a good Lucius Fox. Maybe having Billy Dee William could have a nod to the Timm Burton’s series.



Dick Grayson/Robin:Logan Lerman (Percy Jackson)

He seems better fit for Tim Drake but he’d make a good Grayson. Maybe they could combine Drake and Grayson’s characteristics and I don’t care what you guys say Lerman is a good actor.



Barbara Gordan/Batgirl: Emma Watson (Harry Potter)

Yeah, Hermione. I see a lot of similarities between Hermione and Barbara. There both smart, cute, innocent, all they need to do is dye her hair.



Commissioner Gordon: Bryan Cranston (Malcolm in the Middle)

I was looking for a younger commissioner and this seemed like the best choice.



Renee Montoya: Michelle Rodriguez (Avatar)

I wanted her for Montoya since I watched Avatar. (How about a spin off where she appears in a “The Question” movie.)



Harvey Bullock: Michael Chiklis (Fantastic Four)

He looks the part and looks the part. He’s better fit for this role than for The Thing.




Villains

These are just my favorite Batman Villains. I think most these castings are pretty good.




Joker: Crispin Glover (Back to the Future, Alice In Wonderland)

I don’t have to defend this he was born for the role.



Harley Quinn: Kristen Bell (Heroes)

I think we all wanted Britney Murphy but Kirsten Bell wouldn’t be bad. P.S I want the Arkham Asylum costume.



The Penguin: Philip Seymour Hoffman (Doubt)

We won’t be seeing him in Batman 3 so why not in a reboot.



The Riddler


Johnny Depp (Pirates of the Caribbean)

He’s really perfect but I also have a second choice.



Or



David Tennant (Dr. Who)

I’ve this before but I LOVE Tennant and he’s expressed interest I the role. He would make a really intelligent version of the Riddler. Depp is better fit for the role but I love Tennant to much to pass this up.



Catwoman: Kate Beckinsale (Underworld)

She’s the only person that has expressed interest in the role and I don’t think Nolan would cast her (if she’s even in Batman 3).



Two-Face

Any Ideas? I can’t think of anyone. Eckenhart is hard to replace.



Scarecrow: Adrien Brody (The Pianist)

Think about it. He has the talent, he as the look, and he has the build.



Poison Ivy: Rachel Nichols (G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra)

She looks great green.



Mr. Freeze: Ed Harris (Apollo 13)

I want to see Mr. Freeze done correctly as a tragic villain not like how Arnold did it.



Killer Croc: Kevin Grevioux (Underworld)

No contest



Man Bat: Doug Jones (Hellboy)

He has the build and I’d like to see him play Man-Bat in human form.



Bane : Javier Bardem (No Country for Old Men)

I’d like to see Bane done correctly as a Main villain and CGI to make him HUGE!

Pretty cool I am not sure about Boreanaz as Batman I would always think that he would end up drinking blood. The rest of the cast is pretty good.

Totally awesome!!!:D Jason Patric as Two-Face (He can act just watch Narc, Rush, Sleepers, The Alamo and In the Valley of Elah).

My cast would be totally same except view changes.
David Boreanaz or Josh Brolin as The Batman, Danny Huston as The Penquin, Jackie Earle Haley as The Scarecrow, like i said Jason Patric as Two-Face, Jessica Alba as Catwoman and Brian Steele with the voice of Willem Dafoe as Killer Croc.

What i would add?...
Mark Strong, Edgar Ramirez or Mads Mikkelsen as Roman Sionis/Black Mask
Iain Glen as Ra´s Al Ghul (This time get the lazarus pit in)
Lynn Collins as Talia Al Ghul
Michael Fassbender or Ralph Fiennes as Basil Karlo/Clayface
Tom Hardy as Firefly
John Malkovich as Dr. Hugo Strange
Clive Owen as Thomas Elliot/Hush
Charlie Hunnam as Deadshot
And
Tim Roth as The Ventriloquist

This cast is Genius. The only ones i dont like are Batman(Jon Hamm) and the 1st Batgirl(Emma Watson is good).
About Two-Face,Maybe Liev Schreiber or Rob Lowe?

@AlexDeLarge666 thanks Jason Patric would be a good Two-Face but i haven't seen much of him
i'd considered Josh Brolin for bats but i figured after playing Jonah hex it may be to much

@AverageCitizen99 thanks,i've never heard anyone suggest davis ofr angel before
and
I like the idea of Taylor Momsen as Gwen Stacy but it's not my top choice

@NightAvenger john hamm would make a good batman but i think david's better
and i don't think emma stone is a good match for Batgirl. I like stone but i just don't see her as batgirl

@hybrid45 jude law as riddler?
not a bad choice really it would pretty cool but i'm sticking with depp and tennant

@Ryden tom hardy as bats? i can't see that. maybe deadshot but not bats

@GambitAceOfSpades i considered brolin but after playing jonah hex i thought it would be weird
clive owen would be cool but he's a little too old
and Mark Walberg?

Well, the only ones i don't like are BATMAN, ROBIN, BATGIRL, ALFRED and HARLEY QUINN (god no lool).

Like the rest dude but DEPP for RIDDLER not crappy DR WHO boy! : P

but what's wrong with ALFRED and HARLEY ?

Depp is a better choice for riddler no doubt. but Tennant may be my favorite actor so i had to but him there.

Nah top quality on some of your choices, I'll take in back, I reckon he could do a good ALFRED but KRISTEN just hasn't the acting ability or chops to pull of HARLEY, she so plain as an actress, ZOOEY is much better... tho saying that, HOLLYWOOD could pick a lot worst so I wouldn't mind if she ever did get the part though lol.

Hell yes to DEPP hellz NO to TENNANT h8 that guy lol, okay he's a good WEATHER WIZARD! : P

@Gaston i considered him and i agree he would make a great batman but he just didn't seem like he would make a very dark batman (he would be great though)

as to Jon Hamm and Green Arrow he is a good choice but i still think Mcgregor would be better

wouldn't mind seeing zack snyder directing the dark knight returns graphic novel.
love kristen bell for harley quinn & yes,the arkham asylum costume is a must.

I LOVE THIS CAST!!!! At first I read the title and said.....why but now I know. David Boreanaz is pure Genius Casting!

Hamm would actually make a great Dent!

Only person I don't like is Lerman. Hes good but I think there is someone born for the role. I'm not even gonna state my choice for Robin because i would probably get crucified but there is someone who is perfect for the role. Dick Grayson is a white kid but his features were always described very exotic. He was said to have a slightly natural bronze tint with a pale under-shade. A oval Handsome face with strong boyish features. Hes 5'10 175 in his prime age with a athletic martial artist/gymnast physique. There is someone out there that fits that description perfectly but I'm not gonna say who because I would be destroyed on this site for even saying it lol

i like this alt but i like adrien brody betta for the joker and for batman i like to see cillian murphy give a chance at the role..cillian murphy was the choice for batman because of his impressive audition until nolan saw bale's audition and the riddler has to be Joseph Gordon Levitt if he isnt chosen to be the riddler in Batman 3 and i can actually see crispin glover as the scaecrow i think u should switchhim with brody

Most of the cast you have here is great.HELL YES to Rachel Nichols or Christina Hendricks as IVY, though I could also see Nichols as BATGIRL!!!!! And I have always wanted to see Ed Harris as Mr. FREEZE:) Brody's not a bad choice for Crane, but I could also see Robert Englund as SCARECROW!!!! Crispin Glover would be a good Joker, but also RIDDLER, though Tennent would be groovy, I think Roger Bart would be a great MR. J w/ Sheri Moon Zombie as Harley!!! Paul Giamatti as PENGUIN, Billy Dee would be awesome as FOX, I would love to see ADAM WEST and BURT WARD as GORDON and BULLOCK and CROC could be played easily by Derek Mears. To answer the question about TWO FACE...Depp or DiCaprio would do, I think John Hamm would be cool, or CHRIS NOTH as BATMAN either way I agree w/ an older DK, Miko Hughes would be a good ROBIN I think. John Clees would do ALFRED justice. BANE, could be played by Randy Couture or KANE. MAN BAT, That one's tricky, but Doug Jones does have experience. As far as CATWOMAN, Dina Meyer or Milla Jovovich:)

I love your cast. I always thought David Boreanaz was the closest physically to Bruce Wayne as depicted in the comics. Christian Bale was good, but he never convinced me because he looked so different. I would keep all your choices except for cat woman, instead of Kate buckinsale, i would put her badass lookalike. Rhona Mitra, she is just more aggressive and more badass. But Kudos loved all the cast, i might actually convince some of my roleplay group to shift avatars. I use DB already for batman.
