Danny Phantom is a 2004-07 Nicktoon created by Butch Hartman, series creator of The Fairly OddParents. The show follows 14 year old Danny Fenton, son of ghost hunters Jack and Maddie Fenton, who becomes infused with ghostly powers. Taking on the persona of Danny Phantom he his aided by his best friends Tucker Foley and Sam Manson, and sister Jasmine "Jazz".
*The movie adaptation will follow a college freshman version of Danny. Tucker would be his roommate and Sam would be a fellow co-ed.*

Danny Fenton/Danny Phantom: Jeremy Irvine
Reason: Irivine stars in the Spielberg-directed drama War Horse. I have yet to see the film but the faith that Hollywood's greatest director has placed in him gives me confidence he could be the titular hero.
Tucker Foley: Donald Glover
Reason:
Community's Donald Glover is a rising talent. Actor, comedian, writer, and rapper, Glover has found little talents he does not posses. He would be perfect as the faithful comedic friend, Tucker.
Samantha "Sam" Manson: Aubrey Plaza
Reason: Co-starring in NBC's
Parks and Recreation, Plaza has displayed a persona that is "lively and colorful" (sarcastic joke from the series).
Jasmine "Jazz" Fenton : Deborah Ann Woll
Reason:
True Blood's Deborah Ann Woll certainly looks the part of Danny's elder sister. I haven't seen Woll's acting skill on HBO's vampire drama, and casted her on looks alone (breaking my rule about not casting on looks but the best actor for the part). Anna Kendrick would be my number two if Woll can not fulfill the role.
Jack Fenton: Brian Cranston
Reason: The patriarch of the Fenton clan, Jack is a noble yet clueless father. Cranston's portrayal of Hal in
Malcolm in the Middle is absolutely perfect for Jack Fenton.
Maddie Fenton: Diane Lane
Reason: Diane Lane is a consistent beauty and an amazing actress. Her looks would be a constant fuel for Vlad Masters descent into evil.
Valerie Gray: Jurnee Smollett
Reason:
Friday Night Lights is one of the best wells of great acting. Playing Jess Merriweather in the East Dillon seasons, Smollet has the strong independence necessary for Valerie Gray.
Vlad Masters/Plasmius: Cristoph Waltz
Reason: Normally I despise type casting but Waltz plays the quintessential villain. Waltz's demeanor could carry the tale of spurned lover and devoted Packers fan.

Reason:
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World's Brie Larson is a singer/actress. She is talented enough in both regards to rock as Ember Mclain.
Skuler: Josh Brolin
Reason: The intimidating ghost hunter Skulker required a menacing yet honorable presence. Josh Brolin has shown the ability to play a convincing antagonist as well as venture into questionable film properties:

Men in Black III.
Nicholai Technus: Will Arnett
Reason: Will Arnett is an amazing comedic actor. Although he does not have the same voice as the cartoon Technus, Arnett has a deep menacing authoritative voice that could humorously contrast with the bumbling nature of Technus.
The Box Ghost: TJ Miller
Reason: Hud from
Cloverfield is an upcoming comedic talent. His voice and quick timing would make for an excellent Box Ghost.
