Within the next few years, it's inevitable that a Daredevil film will be announced. Man of Steel did a great job at mixing in various great Superman stories and making something new. Daredevil has the same opportunity. Between Daredevil: Yellow, Bendis's run, and Waid's Man Without Fear we could get more than a rehash of Marvel Studios formula. I wouldn't make it quite as gritty as Bendis's take although if you're making something with "devil" in the title and a place called "Hell's Kitchen" in the story, might as well go with a rated R approach, I guess. Ideally, this story would take place during Matt's first few years as a vigilante so I'm leaving out Elektra because it'd be nice to do what The Amazing Spider-Man did right by bringing in the defining love interest first.
Here's a fan cast.
Patrick Wilson as Matt Murdock/Daredevil
Much like most Billy Zane as Lex Luthor fan casting, my choice for Matt is pretty common but that doesn't mean he wouldn't be a great fit.
Sean Astin or Foggy Nelson
Ray Liotta as Jack Murdock
Amber Tamblyn as Karen Page
Albert Brooks as Ben Urich
Ray Winstone as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin
Ken Watanabe as Ikari
For those of you who don't know who Ikari is, you do now. I highly recommend you pick up Waid's run and find out more about him. I don't think his face shows in the comics but since this is a movie, the studio would probably want to show you who's under the mask.
Michael Pitt as Bullseye
