Duke Nukem has been in the world of action heroes since I was a kid. He is originally based on the likeness and attitude of known action heroes but most notably Dolph Lundgren and Jean-Claude Van Damme. You can really see it in the artists renditions of the character. Here is a conceptual poster showing the real life likeness of the two and also showing the possibility that he can still play the beloved lewd crude warrior.
