I would tell you about K.O.T.O.R lore, but I think it's better to show you (with a video that isn't mine by the way).
What did we learn? Sith are A-Holes, right? Good, Now onto the peeps behind the Camera
Director & Writer:
Brad Bird
Notable Works:
The Iron Giant,
The Incredibles,
Ratatouille,
Mission Impossible - Ghost Protocol
What impresses me about Bird is what a great story-teller he is. He can take the simpliest concept and turn it into one of the most entertaining movies of the year.
Mission Impossible - Ghost Protocol proved that he can do live-action movies. And I believe he's going to get better the more he does it.
Brad Bird + Star Wars = One hell of a good time at the theater.
Cinematographer:
Larry Fong
Notable Works:
300,
Watchmen,
Super 8
Every visual director needs a good cinematographer. Larry Fong is not a good cinematographer...he's a great cinematographer.
I think him and Bird would have a lot of fun.
Composer:
Michael Giacchino
Notable Works:
LOST (TV Series),
Star Trek,
Super 8,
Mission Impossible - Ghost Protocol
A modern-day John Williams...Do I need to go further with this?
And onto Actors and Actresses...
Richard Armitage as
The Main Character
The name of the main character is the one you choose for him (or her, although in canon, it's a dude). If they made a K.O.T.O.R movie, they would defintely give him a name.
I was looking for an actor that could play anything in the Star Wars universe. Could he be a Smuggler? A Bounty Hunter? A Jedi? Or even a Sith?
I think Armitage could be any of those things. And in the Hobbit he proves that he has the charisma to play a convincing leader, which is needed for this role.
Ruth Wilson as
Bastilla Shan
Bastilla Shan is a Jedi (in case you couldn't tell). But she isn't just your typical Jedi, she's a very important part of the War effort against the Sith.
She's a bit overconfident in her abilities, although she tries to be the model Jedi. The Main Character will help her from going down the dark path and becoming a lost cause...unless he turns to the dark side as well.
Jason Clarke as
Carth Onasi
Carth is a Republic Soldier just like our Main Character. He fought in the Mandalorian Wars. But he ended up being betrayed by his mentor, which resulted in the loss of his family.
Because of this Carth has trust issues, and everyone is under suspicion.
Ksenia Solo as
Mission Vao
Mission Vao is a street urchin on the planet of Taris. She was abandoned when she was a child, but she learned to look after herself with the help of her Wookie friend named Zaalbar or as she calls "Big Z".
Despite the stuff that she's been through, Mission is an optimist. And although this allows her to see good in others, it can be used against her, and she can become easily manipulated.
When choosing an actress, I wanted to find someone who was good at projecting child-like enthusiasm. If you've seen Lost Girl (no one will blame you if you haven't), then you know that child-like enthusiasm is one of Ksenia Solo's strength as an actress.
Stephen Lang as
Canderous Ordo
Canderous Ordo is a Mandalorian who fought in the Mandalorian wars against Revan and Malak. After that crushing defeat, he turned to mercanary work. He quickly became one of Davik Kang's right hand men. But after his pay gets cut, Canderous believes that it's time to leave.
So he seeks out the Main character for help, and ends up joining him on his journey.
Ron Glass as
Jolee Bindo
Jolee Bindo is a former smuggler and Jedi who lived in the forests of Kashyyyk. He's kind of a stubborn old man (or at least he pretends to be), but there is some wisdom in his words.
He soon joins the main character in his quest, because he believes that our Main character will change the course of the galaxy. And Jolee just can't miss out on that.
I've thought of other actors for this role like Morgan Freeman, Danny Glover, and even Keith David. But I think Ron Glass is more of a fit for this particular group.
He'd play a more sassier version of Shepard Book...And honestly, is that a bad thing?
Stanley Tucci as
HK-47
I'll keep it short and somewhat simple for HK-47. He's a Hunter-Killer (HK) assassin droid. The Main character needs a droid to translate for him, but isn't aware of his abilities until afterward.
HK provides some humor to the group, believe it or not. And who better to play a Psycho Maniac robot with comic relief than Stanley Tucci?
Elodie Yung as
Juhani
I'm not even going spoil anything...so yeah, let's move on.
Jared Harris as Admiral Saul Karath
Admiral Saul Karath was a former Admiral for the Republic fleet during the Mandalorian Wars. But he turned against the Republic once Revan and Malak offered him a chance to join them.
Harris has enough charisma and a commanding prescense to probably make Saul an even more interesting character.
Tom Hardy as
Darth Malak
Darth Malak is pure evil. He's not conflicted like some villains. He will kill anyone or thing that stands in his way of ultimate power, and what's even worse...he'll probably do it laughing. He shows no mercy to his enemies and would quickly put down unfaithful allies.
I know the Hardy pick seems too easy. But honestly, you can't tell me it wouldn't work.
