When Luke Cage is contacted by powerful European based crime lord John Bushmaster, he knows its instant trouble. Bushmaster wishes to acquire Cage’s services for a unique job: the kidnapping of former police officer turn private investigator, Mercedes “Misty” Knight. At one time Misty Knight had assumed the alias of Maya Corday and became romantically involved with Bushmaster in an attempt to gain any information that would help bring about the downfall of his criminal enterprise...

Bushmaster wants payback for this insult to his ego and reputation and to insure that Luke Cage will comply with his request to kidnap Misty Knight, he informs Cage that he is holding both his lover Dr. Claire Temple and her mentor Dr. Noah Burnstein, the man who played a critical part in Cage gaining superpowers, as captives. Bushmaster also informs Cage that he is in possession of a video tape that shows Willis “Diamondback” Stryker planting the heroin in the apartment of “Carl Lucas”, the very heroin that Lucas was arrested for and sent to prison. Upon delivering Misty Knight to him, Bushmaster has promised to not only release Claire Temple and Noah Burnstein alive and unharmed but to also give Cage the video tape that will finally clear the name of Carl Lucas of the drug charges he was imprisoned for. Agreeing to Bushmaster’s deal, Luke Cage sets out to locate Misty Knight. The situation becomes interesting from that point on.

This serves as a joint sequel for both my Luke Cage and Iron Fist movie takes that have already been posted. This will be a relatively short post since I’ll only be posting the villains for this piece. But first a recap of the necessary player needed from the first two movies:

Henry Simmons = Luke Cage.
Charlie Hunnam = Danny Rand/Iron Fist.
Sanaa Lathan = Misty Knight.
Maggie Q. = Colleen Wing.
Gabrielle Union = Claire Temple.
Brian Cox = Noah Burnstein.

And joining the cast of characters:

Laurence Fishburne = Bushmaster. He is a great actor with the screen presence to pull off this character. All he needs to do is get toned and bulked up for the scenes as Bushmaster enhanced to “Power Master”.

For movie purposes Bushmaster will have hired help to deal with Luke Cage or any allies he had in the event that Cage failed to live up to their deal and attempt any sort of rescue of his captives. That help, the mercenary team of Sabretooth and the Constrictor.

Kevin Durand = Sabretooth. Okay I liked original Sabretooth actor Tyler Mane’s look in the first X-Men movie, but his performance, not so much and after seeing Liev Schreiber’s performance as Sabretooth in the Wolverine movie, it was probably the only thing even remotely great in the whole movie, but his look just didn’t work for me. The Solution : an actor that when in proper EFX makeup would be equal to Tyler Mane’s Sabretooth look and match Liev Schreiber with his Sabretooth performance. Durand is 6’6” and as for as looks go he to me at least gives off a kind of creepy vibe. Picture his ice blue eyes with slitted cat like pupils. And look no further than the episodes of Lost where he appears as the character Martin Keamy to see he could do justice to the Sabretooth role.

Ray Stevenson = Constrictor. Basically I went with an actor who physically looked like someone who could match up with Sabretooth both as a partner and as someone who could possibly take on Sabretooth if need be. Solid acting skills also help.
