InTylerWeTrust82 Casts Batman 3

I cast the sequel to The Dark Knight, simple as that. Enjoy!

PLEASE READ!!!! - No way do I want all of these characters in the next Batman movie. I am just sharing my pics in case any of them do appear in the next film. Keep that in mind. So, with that said, on to my choices!

Christian Bale as Batman. This is obvious, but while I am not a fan of his Batman portrayal, he is the perfect Bruce Wayne, and, to be honest, I can't see someone else as Batman in Nolan's universe.

I won't spend much time on the others who have already been in the Nolan films, so I'll simply list them now:

Michael Caine as Alfred
Gary Oldman as Commissioner Gordon
Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox
Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent/Two-Face
Liam Neeson as Ra's Al Ghul
Cillian Murphy as Jonathan Crane/Scarecrow

Now onto new castings....

Carla Gugino as Catwoman. She definitely has the sexiness for the Cat, she is around the same age as Bale (unlike some other suggestions **cough*MEGAN FOX*cough**), has an elegant beauty that would lend itself well to the Selina part of the character, and is a great actress. My top choice to play Catwoman! And tell me this comparison pic doesn't tell you she would be good :)

And here is the great Shaman's sketch of Gugino as Catwoman!

David Tennant as The Riddler. He is one of the finest actors I have seen in a while. It's a joy to watch him as Doctor Who (or it was, now that he isn't Doc anymore), and he was certainly more than villainous in his short screen time on Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. He is 6'1", enough to not make him such a wimp, has a crazy-ish look in his eyes that make him look like he could snap at any second, and he has said he would like to be the Riddler. What more could you ask? He's perfect, 'nuff said.

Crispin Glover as the Joker. Now I know what you guys are thinking, "Joker shouldn't be played by anyone for the rest of time!" And frankly, I think that is an extremely stubborn, close-minded, and unfair argument. Don't get me wrong, Heath did an absolutely stunning job, one of the best villains ever in film, but the show must go on. Can you honestly say that a future with, undoubtedly, tons more Bat-films, that ALL exclude Joker doesn't sound ridiculous? Joker is the iconic nemesis of Batman, he must be continued on. And no, it is not disgracing Heath's memory if another actor plays Joker. He was a class act, he would never want his performance to stop anyone from taking over. With all that out of the way, on to my pick. Crispin has the creepy, crazy look to him, is an excellent actor in his own right, and would make a fantastic Joker.

Javier Bardem as Bane. The dude is an amazing actor, and with a bit of CGI would be the perfect Bane. And no, he may not be as 'roided out as wrestlers, who many want for this role, but they can't hold a candle next to his acting. Bane is supposed to be extremely intelligent, cunning, AND strong. He's not just strong. Bardem could do all 3, provided a bit of CGI, while a wrestler would be embarassing at the attempt to do so.

Guy Pearce as Black Mask. Pearce is an amazing actor, able to do a wide variety of character types. Ranging from bad ass (Memento) to the gentler, quiet type (the Time Machine), he has great talent. Not only does he have awesome talent, he fits the physical requirements for BM, and has worked with Nolan before, in Memento.

Mickey Rourke as Clayface. We all know Rourke can act, as proven by Sin City and The Wrestler alone. He has the perfect voice for Clayface, and is in terrific physical shape for his age. What's not right with him as Clayface? Answer: nothing.

Karl Urban as Deadshot. Urban can play a great bad ass, but can also nail the personalities of his characters, as seen in Star Trek, and that would be necessary for the actor playing Deadshot. He meets Bale's physical figure, and can do stunts and all that jazz. Nothing more to say really.

Nolan North as Firefly. North is an incredible character actor. He is pre-dominantly a voice actor, but he does do some live action roles. However, Firefly is a character in a full body suit, it's sort of like voice acting with Firefly. Plus, fun fact, did you know he was Deadpool in the Hulk Vs. DVD movie?

Brittany Murphy as Harley Quinn. Murphy is literally perfect for Harley. She can play bubbly and frisky, but also crazy and off like Miss Quinn. I can't think of anyone better to play "Mr. J's girl."

Dustin Hoffman as Hugo Strange. I got this idea a few days ago, and I can't believe I never thought of it before. Hoffman is the best choice for Hugo bay far. One of the best actors out there, tell me he wouldn't be amazing!

Eric Bana as Hush. Hush was a tough one to cast, but I saw that HAWK cast Bana as Hush and, to be honest, I can't think of a better choice. All credit goes to him on this one.

Check out HAWK's Batman Rogue's Gallery Fan Cast here: http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/ChroniclesofMoeniaArcis/news/?a=7288

Kevin Grevioux as Killer Croc Another idea I got from HAWK, sorry for taking them! I just couldn't think of a better choice again, he would be a great Croc!

Sir Ben Kingsley as Mister Freeze What more can be said about Kingsley. He's won an Academy Award. He fits Freeze's figure, apart from height, but I don't see that as too big an issue. He would be a chilling Freeze! And he would also be an excellent Professor X!

Bob Hoskins as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin Hoskins can certainly act his ass off. He fits Penguin's physical description to the T, and I know he would do an amazing job as Penguin. He can pull off that look of higher class that Penguin sees himself as, and wouldn't be the same grotesque and off-putting Penguin from Batman Returns.

Eva Green as Pamela Isly/Poison Ivy I'm a huge fan of Green's. She is exceptionally beautiful, has great....er....assets, and, if you've seen the awesome Casino Royale, then you would know just how gifted she is as an actress. She was super sexy, intellgent, and a bad girl when it all ended.

Jim Broadbent as Ventriloquist Broadbent is an incredibly entertaining actor, and lights up the screen whenever he's there, for example in Half-Blood Prince. He looks just like Ventriloquist, and he fits his bumbling, squeamish personality perfectly.

Now that we've got the villains covered, it's time to move on to Bat-allies!

Ian Somerhalder as Dick Grayson/Nightwing Somerhalder has the perfect look for Nightwing, that dark, sharp look in his face, is well-built, and looks young enough to stand next to Bale and be a younger character. Plus, he's a rising star, and I think he has great promise/potential.

Logan Lerman as Tim Drake/Robin. This kid has some serious acting chops. He held his own next to the likes of Christian Bale and Russel Crowe in 3:10 To Yuma (an absolute classic IMO), plus he looks just like Robin as well. I wouldn't be surprised to hear a lot about this young actor in the next few years, he's got a bright future IMO.

Amy Adams as Barbara Gordon/Oracle I'd love to see the Oracle version of Babs in the Nolan universe, and I think she would fit right in, since she is Bats' intelligence source, and wouldn't be Batgirl. I went with Oracle because I prefer that character to Batgirl, and I frankly couldn't think of a choice I really liked for Batgirl. However, Adams is perfect for Oracle. She can do smart, sassy, tough, and looks like Oracle to boot. The fact that she's been nominated for 2 Academy Awards doesn't hurt either.

Mila Kunis as Huntress Mila is quite stunning to look at. One of the most gorgeous actresses of her generation. That's all well and good, but can she act? The answer, is a definite YES! She was a highlight in every season of That 70's Show years ago, and really proved her chops in the hilarious Forgetting Sarah Marshall. She can do tough as proved by Max Payne (I know it was a horrible movie, but she still proved she could do strong characters and action). Not only is she beautiful and talented, but she is a self-proclaimed geek! How awesome is that?! Mila is the best choice for Huntress, no doubt in my mind about it.

That's about it for me. Tell me what you think in the comments. Thanks for reading.

They are all perfect!
except for Mr Freeze who has to be played by Hugo weaving!

Night: I know dude! Believe me, Weaving as Freeze would be my top choice by far! Though, I can't and probably will never get over the thought of him as Brainiac, another DC villain :_(

great cast but what about the young dick grayson and young Barbara Gordon

Flames: My personal preferences of the characters had a factor in the castings. I prefer the older, Nightwing version of Grayson, so I put him in there.

I addressed the Barbara situation after I put Amy Adams as Oracle down. I prefer Oracle to Batgirl, so I chose to cast Oracle instead, and I couldn't think of any good choices for Batgirl.

ecksmanfan: Thanks dude!

Wow, excellent casting man! Its great to see Nolan North up there (who's also the brillain voice of Nathan Drake - from PS3's Uncharted series - and the Prince of Persia) There are some up there that I would never have thought of (your picks for Ventriloquist and Clayface especially) but that are 100% perfect for the role!

One problem I have with your cast though - its so bloody good, I can now never do a Batman fan cast because Ill copy most of your choices, lol! Glad to see you kept Bale up there as well! The only choice Im not sure about is Glover for Joker as I havent seen him in anything...James Franco is my top choice for The Joker right now followed by Johnny Depp!

Batmanknight - 10/11/2009, 8:02 PM
I like'em all. Very original. Except for i think Somerhalder looks more like a bad guy than a good guy. And i prefer Beckensale for Catwoman.

@Tyler-Check out my Green Arrow:Savage Unt story in the fanfic section, i think you'll like it.

Kyos - 10/11/2009, 8:05 PM
Well, I have pretty much nothing to complain about. Great choices, especially Brittany Murphy as Quinn and Mila Kunis as Huntress. Murphy/Quinn is THE definite casting, and Kunis fits the Huntress perfectly. (still, Max Payne WAS really bad, and imo she was miscast as Mona Sax)
Someone like Bardem is needed to bring alls the aspects of Bane to life. He is so much more than a dumb brute. Good one here as well!

Btw, Nolan North was hilarious as Deadpool. "Hey Logan, buddy, it's me, Deadpool! I shot ya..."
InTylerWeTrust
InTylerWeTrust - 10/11/2009, 8:07 PM
Thanks Josh! Glad you liked the picks!

North certainly has a great resume of voice work. He was spectacular in Uncharted and POP.

Sorry about ruining your fan cast for Bats 3 :)

I like Franco a lot, I reckon he wouldn't be half bad as Joker. Regarding Depp, during that scene in TDK where Joker shot Gordon without make-up, I really could have sworn it was Depp! Heath looked exactly like him!

BatmanKnight: Thanks! Somerhalder would be a very good villain I think, but he's just got this look, I can't describe it, that make me think Nightwing instantly! Beckinsale wouldn't be bad, though she's certainly not getting much love after Whiteout!

I'll see if I can check your story out :)

Kyos: Another thanks to you!

That was one of my fav. lines of North's as Deadpool!

"And Omega Red's a bed wetter!"

"I will tear out your flipping tongue Wilson."

*Whispers to Logan* "He's very ashamed."

I'm not advocating Freeze be in Nolan's universe. It's all in the PLEASE READ!!!! section at the very top. I just wanted to share my pick if they ever put him in the movies.

Freeze is a great villain though IMO. He is complex, and isn't just a villain. He wants to save his wife from dying, yet feels he has to resort to crime to save her. He's more complex than that LOL, it's just a summary of his character. They made him a super bad ass in the cartoons, I know they could do the same on the big screen.
JoshWilding
JoshWilding - 10/11/2009, 8:22 PM
TYLER: LOL, no worries - I'll stick with the Moon Knight cast Im working on! North is an amazing voice actor - Uncharted: Drake's Fortune was a great game but his voice acting made it even better! I hear that they're planning an Uncharted movie so here's hoping the cast him as Drake! I also think that Tennant would make a great Riddler (his role in Harry Potter showed that he can pull off crazy brilliantly) - its a pity he's not gonna be Doctor Who anymore - that new guy looks all sorts of wrong for the Doc IMO!
InTylerWeTrust
InTylerWeTrust - 10/11/2009, 8:28 PM
Looking forward to your Moon Knight cast Josh :)

An Uncharted movie without North just wouldn't be Uncharted! He IS Nathan Drake!

I am sad that Tennant won't be good old Doc anymore :_(

But it does free him up for Riddler!

Multi: They don't have to make Freeze cheesy. I know about Batman and Robin, but I won't get into that. The outfit can easily be modified to be more modern and technologically advanced, I never thought he looked cheesy in the cartoons, or some of the comics for that matter.

I don't know exactly how they could make it believable in Nolan's hyper-realism universe, but if it were less strict on the realism aspect, I don't think Nolan would have any trouble putting Freeze in. Freeze could be a threat since he has the freeze gun, can't think of a better way to describe it LOL, and his suit could greatly amplify his strength.
JoshWilding
JoshWilding - 10/11/2009, 8:39 PM
TYLER: Thanks! I've only cast Bushman so far but I'll finih it in the next few days, lol! There was a rumour that Matthew McConaughey would be cast as Drake - if that were true, I couldnt go and watch it!

Man, remeber the last time Mr. Freeze made it to the big screen? Though Im sure that Nolan would do a better job than this! ;)

InTylerWeTrust - 10/11/2009, 8:48 PM
I do agree that they would have to loosen on the realism restrictions if Freeze was in a movie, and those two responses are really silly, I do like Freeze a lot, I never really cared that he wasn't as realistic as most of Bats' villains.
JoshWilding
JoshWilding - 10/11/2009, 8:54 PM
MULTI: Well, Im more Marvel than DC so Im no expert on the character but I dont see a character like Mr. Freeze fittig into the Nolan-verse too easily. Sure they could give him a realistic costume but the whole cocept would seem a little outlandish in the universe Nolan has so far created. I think we'll probably see The Riddler or The Penguin next time round - Nolan made an exceptionally good crime thriller as well as superhero movie last time so if he stayed with these types of character and gang type stories it'd probably work out for the best in my opinion!
InTylerWeTrust
InTylerWeTrust - 10/11/2009, 8:58 PM
Personally, I'm really hoping for Riddler as the main villain, with Black Mask as the new crime boss in town. He hires Deadshot about mid-way into the movie to take out Batman, but is defeated. Those are my top picks for the next villains.
THEHAWK
THEHAWK - 10/11/2009, 9:10 PM
Very nice man, I like, easily one of the best on here in a while! And thanks for the credit! I'm also glad to see that people are getting into my Bane suggestion now, thats cool.

I don't have many complaints but I do have a few suggestions here for your choices I didn't like.

My major one would have to be Deadshot. one of my favorite villians and I feel that you miscast him nearly as bad as I did when I chose Colin Ferrel for the role. The best and only choice for Deadshot has to be Jeffery Dean Morgan. THey even look alike! I will post a pic later.

Another one i had trouble with was Barbara Gordon. I like Amy Adams, but. But I think that the best choic for her is also the best for Jean Grey.
Rachel McAdams

She is an amazingly talented actress that would be great.

While Dustin Hoffman is one of my favorite actors, I am eyeing someone else for the Role of Hugo Strange, what about Philip Seymor Hoffman for Hugo Strange?

And Steve Buscemi IS Ventriloquist. Nuff said.

I think Crispin is an excellent pick for the Joker, I personally would go with Jude Law. And another reason I like Law for Joker is that Glover is the only choice for one of my favorite flash Villains... Shade. One of the first actual supervillains in comics, and Flash's first recurring foe.

This is absolutely the best casting I've seen on CBM
Tyler@! Fantastic job, especially your Mr. Freeze pick!
Using Riddler and Black Mask along with Catwoman is the way
I think Nolan should go! Get Catwoman in here for some
sexiness for a change and Gugino truly fits the bill!!
Ugh
Ugh - 10/11/2009, 11:57 PM
Just make Freeze a hitman/criminal who does crime to support an ailing wife. Who uses a really kickass liquid nitrogen gun to either kill or break into places.
@Tyler- Great pick for Hush

TYLER @ You and me are on the same wave length (with BATMAN anyway lol).

Thumbs up man!! I really like! Yep ive said KINGSLEY too, he's perfect for FREEZE if FREEZE was ever cast that is.

Man, i said i like your CATWOMAN too!

JOKER, etc!!! ; ) Good stuff!

Well you know this anyway but the only one i dont like is ya RIDDLER (See Tennant as WEATHER WIZARD), but no shock there on my part lol. ; d

Yeah i still say DEPP, but luv your DEADSHOT pic, i had someone but thats better!! ; )

Fantastic cast dude, thumbs up!!!

All GREAT cast. However i think Thomas Dekker should play Robin/tim drake. Also Phillip Seymour Hoffman for the Penguin.
another that should have been on the list is the Mad Hatter. who should be played by Kevin Spacey. or possibly Robin Williams giving us his creepy performance from One Hour Photo

John Malkavich for Freeze too

Truly inspirational casting.
Tyler: I was thinking Tony Todd as Killer Croc. Todd is a brilliant actor and he is 6'5".

However, after checking out Kevin's bio I think that he is a good choice. Plus he actually writes and has written comic books.

Great cast man, I also cast Bardem as Bane, Crispin as Joker and Murphey as Harley, they're great pics. ;) the rest are awesome too and even tho I hate Bale's Batman I too wouldn't like to see a major change like that, he just needs to change t=his voice.

Thanks everyone for the kind remarks. Much appreciated.

Lee: What funny pic man?

Gambit: I know dude! He would have been perfect for a young Bruce Wayne on Smallville!

teabag: Thanks dude! I really can't see anyone else as Riddler, except for Michael C. Hall, but I don't think he's as perfect as Tennant. I doubt I will ever think someone is better than Tennant for Riddler, it's just something I'll never back down on.

I love Somerholder as Nightwing I never thought of him before...IMO Dick needs to be put into the Batman universe because Nightwing is an amazing character whose origin would fit in Nolan's movies...plus they need him for a Teen Titans movie (here's hopin')
Frogman
