What if the New Superman Movie Started Like This?

What if the New Superman Movie Started Like This?

Even though because of a stupid court case that has put money grabbers above fans, the new Superman movie will be without an origin for the Man of Steel unless Warner Bros. loses everything and then nothing will be made. But what if this was the first opening 30 minutes of the movie...

A 19-year-old Clark Kent is making his way through a blizzard in the arctic mountains carrying a back pack with a bright lit shining from inside. He top and open his bag and pulls out a blinding glowing sphere and holds it up before it floats and begins drifting forwards to which Clark grabs it and throws the sphere like a football miles away and super speeds after it. The sphere then lands on an arctic lake to which Clark quickly catches up to it. The sphere then melts through the ice and the ground begins to shake violently and Clark retreats backwards as massive ice columns begin to burst through the lake. He super jumps to the edge of the lake and turns to watch as a massive ice structure builds itself from beneath the lake unsure of what just happened.

He makes his way towards the structure that stands 40 stories tall and enters to which the structure brightly lights up and a voice is heard that says “welcome home Kal-El”. Clark replies by saying “my name is Clark Kent, where are you?” and the voice tells Clark to walk forwards towards the control panel which rises from the ground. He then peers over the control panel to the vast cavernous drops before accidentally pressing a crystal on the control panel and a hologram of a man appears on a podium in front of the control panel. Clark asks the person who he is and the man replies “My name is Jor-El, son of Jor-El and your Kryptonian father”. Clark then replies by saying that his father died of a heart attack 2 weeks ago and you are a hologram. Jor-El then addresses Clark as Kal-El and tells him that he is going to take him on a journey of discovery and to find his destiny in this Fortress of Solitude. The Fortress then goes dark and a massive hologram surrounds Clark which shows:

Flying through space through galaxies before ending at the galaxy of a Red sun and on a planet that when zooming in, looks the same as the Fortress of Solitude in structure. Jor-El then tells Kal-El that this is his home world, the planet Krypton in the system of Rao or as it is known on earth, Andromeda Galaxy. He says that Krypton was ravished with the greatest civil war for generations with General Zod corrupting many of the planets army and planning to takeover the planet for as he became disillusioned with Kryptonian society as stated by himself. Whilst Jor-El is talking, Kal-El is starring at the images being shown of the war with General Zod being shown what Krypton looked liked. Kal-El then asks Jor-El how and why he was sent off the planet and how a planet was destroyed if neither side wanted to destroy it. Jor-El tells him that long before Kryptonians as they are know took dominance over the planet, a monster bread to destroy planets was genetically engineered on Krypton and became too much of a handful and destroyed all life on the planet in a massive battle against millions of beings, defeating them all before fleeing the planet on an escaping royal ship. That battle caused the planets core to be on a very unstable balance. The war with General Zod broke the balance and the core erupted. Jor-El then says that a Kryptonian must always follow their destiny and that his was to die on Krypton, but Kal-El’s is on earth and being the last Kryptonian alive, must also preserve their race.

A 8 year old Clark Kent is playing chase with Jonathan Kent whilst being watched Martha Kent running around in one of the Kent Farm’s fields when Clark suddenly runs super humanly fast and disappears from Jonathan and Martha’s POV and ends up running into the side of the barn knocking himself out.

A now much of Kal-El wakes up dreaming about his time as a youth on the Kent Farm floating in mid air in the Fortress of Solitude before flying down to the control panel and pressing the crystal that activates Jor-El’s live response. He tells Jor-El he wishes to leave the Fortress and visit Martha Kent and also explore the planet more. Jor-El says that his training is still incomplete and that only when he is truly ready to fulfil his destiny, can he leave. Kal-El argues that if he is to protect the planet, that he must firstly understand humans fully and says that he is going to leave for a few months but will return with a better understanding and perspective.

Kal-El then begins to fly out of the Fortress but the Fortress suddenly goes black and two red eyes appear in the distance. They then fly at Kal-El and tackle him towards the floor and begin punching him. Kal-El kicks the being away and uses his heat vision at the being which sends the being backwards. Kal-El then flies after the being and holds him down before head butting the being before it disappears. The Fortress then lights back up and Jor-El says that there is nothing more to teach Kal-El and that he is now ready to follow his destiny. He wishes him good luck and will be waiting when he wishes to return. Kal-El then replies by saying that it has been a rewarding learning about his origin and will honour Krypton and Jor-El. He then flies out and away from the Fortress.

Very cool. I like this idea a lot. It's a very good way to tell the basic origin, without going through the entire thing and wasting time. Well done man, well done :)

Too bad the lawsuit prevents Krypton from being in the movie though :(
