TOTAL REBOOT OF X-MEN THIS TIME!

I didn't know most people felt as strongly as I did about rebooting
X-men completely for X-men 4. So let's call it "ASTONISHING X-MEN" or
"AX" and start over. (Doesn't "AX" sound kinda cool?)

The X-men for X-MEN 4 or ASTONISHING X-MEN or AX should be a clean slate
so I cast entirely new actors.

So it will be PROF-X, CYCLOPS, JEAN GREY, LOGAN, WHITE QUEEN, GAMBIT,
older ROGUE, older ARCHANGEL, older KITTY PRYDE, older ICEMAN,
younger BEAST, NIGHTCRAWLER, older COLOSSUS and BISHOP.

STORM can just be gone visiting a friend in a certain African Nation.
(THAT can segue into THE AVENGERS.)

WOLVERINE needs someone younger and way shorter but muscular to play
him. Wolverine is listed at 5'3" in his Marvel bio.

And they need to bring CANNONBALL and CABLE into the mix.

And finally...bring a new main villain in for crying out loud!!!

I know you guys are gonna say this is too many people for one movie
but I don't think so!

I love your picks! All of them would fit very well...

but posting a fancast without the notion of being a fancast kind of throws everyone off.... Change your title to Fan Cast instead of Update, since it's not actual news!

I liked it before the update, totally HATE JARRED as CLOPS he's a c**T!

If he ever got the part, X-MEN DOOM!

Why change your mind dude, i really liked your last X4 casting and you've spoiled in with him as CYCLOPS!

Its as bad as Ackles as WOLVERINE, thats how bad it is.

MR SIN and ANGLEL = HELL YEAH!!! ; D

sOZ about screaming lol, ive just nearly finished a casting and the [frick]ing page with everything on just [frick]ing got wiped and you know i use a lot of info an stuff, was working on it hours aint happy lol, i was about 5 minutes from finishing.

when I was loading this up! I lost almost nearly
all of my writing work. I had to remember what I
wrote which was extremely hard to do! CRAP!!!

I also had to load all my pics back on!

Leee@ Jared was about the only one I changed.
And Xavier. Just thought I would do
a complete reboot and see who I could come
up with for actors.

People seemed to get all over my butt for
not rebooting! I think X-men need rebooting badly!
I wish Marvel was doing it and starting all over!
They would get it right! A lot of people also didn't
like Eliza Dushku for Rogue so I changed it to Erica.

More than one person suggested Jared for Scott!
I didn't know you were THAT opposed to it! I
think he would be fine as Cyclops for a reboot!
Sorry, Leee@ but I like Supernatural and I like
Jared and Jensen as brothers who fight evil together.
It reminds me of my bro and me! He's 6'3" and long-
haired and I'm 6'6" and Shave-headed and when we
walk down the street nobody screws with us!

Yep, Superheromoviefan@ Kane has the body for Logan and
he's not a bodybuilder but they're buffing him up
for his part as a thug/strongarm who is part of a group of
crooks helping people on LEVERAGE on TNT. He surely
could play Wolverine with his short stocky build.

Moviefan@ there is only one bodybuilder in there but
he's no wrestler! That's Mike O'hearn who is a nutrional
expert and trains without drugs and steroids for bodybuilding
competition. He's getting into acting now!
He's acted on several TV shows. He fits Colossus the
best in my opinion. He's a better actor than Daniel
Cudmore and he's older so he's no 90210 candidate!

Rasputin to me! Mike O'hearn can act. Most bodybuilders
can't! I think there is a very famous bodybuilder who's a
huge star! I think his name is
Arnold? Well Mike is a better speaker than AHHHNOLD!!!!

DDD @ I don't hate SUPERNATURAL lol, but i still would hate him as CYCLOPS, theres much better, the guy acts like cardboard and would ruin the whole X-MEN movie, thats for sure, hell if him or ackles ever set foot in the X-Verse id never watch the movies!!

I do however like ya PROF X pick, though you cant beat STEWART, KINGSLEY is a great replacement, great actor!!

SHF @ The COLOSSUS pick is fine dude, it fits! Whats he from, ive seen him before somewhere??

@DDD hey man i had to respond to your comment on the disney/marvel merger. we agreed on something! i knew it wouldn't take long. haha.

I like how you're giving sean william scott some love. imo he should be recast as deadpool. i think he could do a much better job than ryan reynolds. and i think RR would be great so that's saying alot.

Also, i think we as fans need to get away from only casting bald guys as prof x. just try to get a guy who can pull off the character and shave him! your picks are good tho, i didn't mean to say they weren't

Cool update, I don't agree with it all, but I like it for the most part.

I like Jared as Cyke, but I also like Scott Porter, Chris Pine, and Garret Hedlund for the role.

Believe it or not, I was just thinking about O'Quinn as Xavier yesterday. He'd kick some major ass, as would Kingsley.

McAdams isn't my pick for Jean, but I guess I wouldn't mind her.

I like Kane as Wolvie, he reminds me of the character especially in the second pic with the long hair.

Haven't seen Blalock act.

Franco would be an awesome Gambit.

Not keen on Durance as Rogue, you had it right the first time with Dushku.

Sears is a great pick for Angel.

Still don't like Shadowcat or Ice-Man.

Haven't seen Scott act (I think).

Cillian still doesn't seem like Nightcrawler to me, a bit too dark and creepy.

Yes to MJW as Bishop.

Big big no to O'Hearn as Colossus. He can't act.

I like Vogel as Cannonball, and Biehn would be an awesome Cable.

Isaacs would own as Sinister, but I prefer Keith David and his perfect voice.

Ben Kingsley would be a great Prof, don’t like the Lost guy though

Big NO to Jensen Ackles sidekick being Cyclops, the guy is a bad actor

I like Rachel McAdams for Jean

I like your Wolverine choice but I still prefer Moyer, it’s most likely because I’ve seen Moyer act and I think he’s pretty good.

Not to sure on your Emma Frost choice but she looks hot

I love the idea of Franco as Gambit, I like him for Nightcrawler also

Love the idea of Erica Durance as Rouge!! I thought of her ages ago but I didn’t think anybody would like it so I left it out of my X-Men re-cast…good job man ;)

I like the Angel choice

for Xavier thing. Of course other actors could do
the part and just shave their head. Heck Patrick Stewart
even shaves his head to do Xavier, he does have a little
hair in back! lol I wouldn't be against that. I only
chose Ben and Jerry 'cause they happen to be excellent
actors! Say don't those two make Ice cream? lol

Tyler@ I like Jared for Scott but the three you mention
are good too. Porter would be my preference of the
three! He has leadership qualities to his acting and I
just like him as an actor! He's very good!

You think Cillian is too dark and creepy but I think
Nightcrawler is both those things, just not extremely
so! I'm sure Cillian can tone it down like in
"SUNSHINE".

Yep, I do like Dushku the most for Rogue's bad-girl
type personality but some complained about her so I thought
of an alternative for this update. I still like Dushku the
best.

Keith David has that SINISTER voice so he definitely
would be good for Mister Sinister!

Leee@ quite a few of you don't like Jared for Cyclops
and I can understand the point. Jared is pretty young and
from a CW show! I happen to like his acting on that show.
I would never cast Ackles for any X-men parts. The only
two parts I ever thought of him for was Cap America
and Hawkeye and Hawkeye was my first thought!

I know you are vehemently opposed to Jensen as Cap America
but I wasn't really aware that you were so vehemently opposed
to Jared as Scott Summers.

Movietheaterlad@, Cillian has played a lot of creepy
characters and played them well! What does it matter if he
played a drag queen in a movie, he's an actor.

Alan Cummings is openly gay yet he performed
Nightcrawler extremely well, like Singer wanted him to.
Alan's sexual preferences have nothing to do with
his acting! He is a great actor! I just didn't think
Singer made his Kurt Wagner have the right
characteristics. So what does it matter if Cillian
played a drag queen before?

And what stops actors from playing a DC character and
a marvel character. Ryan Reynolds is doing just that!

Franco's character is dead on Spidey so it doesn't
matter if he is other characters in other Marvel
properties. Heck Rebecca Romijn was in X-men as
Mystique and in THE PUNISHER with Thomas Jane as
the girl next door. So what does it really matter?

particular characters
(BEAST & NIGHTCRAWLER)!

I wasn't trying to piss
you off personally with
my Jared pick. Probably the
best for Cyclops in a reboot
is someone quite a bit older
than Jared.

I liked James Marsden just
fine but I had to choose
someone new to do a total reboot!

Fantastic casting. Christian Kane is a perfect choice. He's closer to the correct height of the character.
I agree with Lee about your choices for Beast and Nigthcrawler.
What do you think of Dermot Mulroney for Gambit. I bet you he can do the Cajun accent properly.
I am not an American, but I really did not hear the Cajun accent in Wolverine Origins. At least, it was not strongly evident enough.

in Wolverine:Origins! I'm an American and
Kitsch didn't do the accent very well at all!

Dermot Mulroney is one of my favorite actors
and would do a fantastic GAMBIT! He could do
the Cajun accent in his sleep!

I like a lot of your fancast, particularly terry O'Quinn and Gambit. however I just do not see Erica Durance as Eogue, Diamond Little...maybe but I love Rogue too much to see her butcher Rogue the way she has done to Lois. I could see Eliza Dushku in the role or even Rachel Nichols but not ED.
