C. Thomas Howell as Mr. Fantastic
Now alot of people may or may not know who this guy is. Howell's first big role was the main character, Ponyboy, of The Outsiders. You may also know him from the famous Red Dawn, where he played Robert. But what sold me on this guys is his work in sci-fi, notably in the line of mockbluster movies made by The Assylum, a bunch of which he both acted in AND directed in! The guy could lend a hand to deliver a fun sci-fi romp just like the FF were always meant for.
Diane Krueger as Invisible Woman
This stunning beauty was picked by me after seeing her as Bridget in Inglorious Bastards, which she got nominated for two Screen Actors Guild awards for Best Supporting Actress. She was also in the National Treasure movies and also played Helen of Troy, so we know that she has enough experience playing strong female characters in the realm of action and fantasy.
Micheal Cudlitz as The Thing
Despite how wonderful Michael Chiklis was before him, I wanted to go with this guy because he's both a big tough guy and is also Jewish, just like the character, which I think would be a great compliment to Ben Grimm's fame of being one the most iconic Jewish role-models in modern fiction. But seriously though, this guy is one tough cookie. Just catch him on Southland kickin' crime to the curb on the streets of LA. Also, he's 6'2".
Ryan Kwanten as The Human Torch
Ryan is considered quite the sex symbol over in Australia for his work in various Australian tv shows like A Country Practice, Spellbinder, and Home and Away (of which Thor's Chris Hemsworth is also a character). But most American audiences know him for his role as the lovable goofy redneck Jason Stackhouse on HBO's True Blood! I chose him for his sense of humor and because he already has a devoted female fanbase.
Sean Bean as Dr. Doom
This one is my favorite. You know Sean Bean probably as Boromir from the Lord of the Rings trilogy, the villain in GoldenEye and the National Treasure movies, AND he's playing Zeus in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians movie(s)! He's perfect!
Matt Gerald as the Silver Surfer
Now this guy may not be too famous just yet, but you may know him from his appearances in Choke, XXX State of the Union, The Shield, and was also recently in Avatar. You know him from Avatar as one of the Corporal Lyle, one of the bad guys who led the attack on Pandora. He will also be in the upcoming Red Dawn remake. I chose him for his frame and face, but also the fact that I see alot of potential in him from his gradually heightening resume. First Avatar, then Red Dawn, after that, who knows?
Andy Serkis as Mole Man
Okay this one is a no brainer. This guy played Gollum in LOTR and King Kong. He's also a REALLY funny guy, but at the same time played villains like Mr. Grin in Stormbreaker and the devious Capricorn in Inkheart.
Wentworth Miller as Black Bolt
Everyone knows him as the protagonist of Prison Break, in which he did phenomenally, and he'll also be playing Chris Redfield in the upcoming Resident Evil: Afterlife. But what I like about him is his face. Not because of looks, but because this is a character who cannot talk. All of his means of communication are simple sign language and facial expressions. And as a king, those expressions can't be anything less than serious. Wentworth Miller has that intense look that you need to pull off that aspect of his character.
