FANTASTIC FOUR Viral Video Explains Why Exactly 'The Thing' Has No Pants

It's a question which has been plaguing us for months now; why doesn't The Thing have pants on in Josh Trank's Fantastic Four movie? Well, in a viral video narrated by Tim Blake Nelson's Harvey Elder, we finally get an answer, and it's a lot simpler than you might expect...

The following viral video for Fantastic Four takes the form of a presentation from Harvey Elder for the Department of Defence. It includes some pretty interesting new details about the "Quantum Gate" created by Reed Richards, but more importantly reveals why The Thing has no pants; it's because he's indestructible and there was just no need to create a containment suit for him...

FANTASTIC FOUR, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.

Fantastic Four stars Miles Teller as Mr. Fantastic, Kate Mara as The Invisible Woman, Michael B. Jordan as The Human Torch, Jamie Bell as The Thing, and Toby Kebbell as Victor Domashev/Doctor Doom. Directed by Josh Trank and written by Simon Kinberg, Fantastic Four is set to be released on August 7th, 2015! What do you guys think about this latest look at the movie? Sound off below!

Literally exactly as I stated. Makes sense but knowing this community, that wouldn't matter.

The only other "out" that I can think of for his lack of pants is that Ben Grimm is underneath the Thing's rocky exterior. Instead of fully transmuting into the Thing, it's more of a crust.

Ew, crust.

And he has no external genitalia.

Cool viral-vid. The embargo date has lifted my worries, should be interesting how that impacts box-office. Still can't wait for this.

This is a movie I am really looking forward to, mostly because I get to compare it to it's previous incarnations (especially the most recent). This looks like a far better story and special effects, than what has previously been filmed.

Personally I believe that CBM really weren't able to realize their full potential until after Iron Man came out, so really I don't think there is any come lately to the party and that Marvel (and Fox to some extent) were just there at the right time.

Just addressing the posting/video alone . . .

OOoOHHHhhHHhHHh, now I see.
Conservative Ben Grimm isn't wearing pants because you said so.

Got it.

Makes perfect sense. The whole reason I wear pants is because I'm not bulletproof.

Pants help with that, right?

In defense, the only reaction I've seen for the movie is from Latino-Review and all they'd say is that it's positive.

DC's Green Lantern movie was just a bad script and tried to be a Marvel Studios product, which they have now learned is something they should not emulate.

I'd love for some of you smartasses to explain how containment suits built to contain their powers as literally and explicitly stated, can contain a huge indestructible rock.

I'll wait.

From the FuriousFanboys article-

"Online reviews are not allowed to go up until 4:00pm Pacific on August 6th, which just so happens to be right when the first 7:00pm showings will begin on the East Coast."

That's just mean.
