Earlier this week, Disney boss Bob Iger reiterated the studio's plans to bring the X-Men and Fantastic Four into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We've known for quite some time that's going to be happening and while it's still a few years away from becoming a reality, it's hard not to be excited! 

Now, some fan-art has surfaced which shows a new, live-action take on the team which gives us an idea of what they could end up looking like in the MCU. As you can see, John Krasinski is Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, his real-life wife Emily Blunt is Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Andrew Garfield is Johnny Storm/The Human Torch and I want to say that's John Cena as Ben Grimm/The Thing.

I'm definitely intrigued by the prospect of former Spider-Man Andrew Garfield joining the MCU and he would be a good fit for Johnny. Marvel, meanwhile, would be foolish not to cast as Krasinski and Blunt as the leaders of the team because fans have made it clear that they really want to see it happen.

@Pantherpool - he's my backup if they can't get Efron, but it looks like they're making more Power Rangers movies so he might be busy between those two properties alone (Stranger Things and Power Rangers, that is).

@LiteraryJoe - I personally like him as an actor. He did good in both PR and Stranger Things 2, but yeah, he's gonna be WAY to busy with those to be a Marvel character

@Jaspion - I'm Genuinely floored because I fancasted Garfield as Johnny Storm too years ago.

My dream cast for the MCU Fantastic Four:

Clive Owen as Reed

He has the charm and the acting chops to sell Reed and just looks like he fits as someone named Reed Richards.

Noomi Rapace as Sue

She has the great acting range to pull off a strong scientist and I think she and Clive could work off each other really well and have good chemistry as Sue and Reed. Plus she is a phenomenal face actress for her fight scenes using her powers.

Andrew Garfield as Johnny

I could 100% buy Andrew and Naomi being brother and sister, Andrew looks like a Johnny and we all know he has the charisma, charm and snappy line delivery needed for Johnny Storm. Obviously he's older than Peter Parker but I think they would still be hilarious buddies together.

Mel Gibson as Ben

This is my favorite of my fan cast. He has those big blue eyes and that iconic gravelly voice, perfect for Ben. And to top it off, I could really see Mel and Clive as buddies as Reed and Ben.

I think these 4 would have phenomenal on screen chemistry with each other and enough star power and acting chips to effortlessly carry a Fantastic Four film in the MCU.
