Quite a few intriguing Fantastic Four rumors have been doing the rounds of late, with recent reports claiming that Marvel Studios' top picks for the lead roles of Reed Richards and Sue Storm are Diego Luna and Eiza González.
Other names have been mentioned in connection with these particular parts, of course, so it's difficult to know who - if any - are the current frontrunners, but if the Andor star really is in contention to play FF leader Mr. Fantastic, he's obviously not about to confirm his involvement.
While chatting to Kristian Harloff on his YouTube show, Luna was asked about the Reed Richards rumor, and while he didn't deny anything outright, he did suggest that he's going to be far too busy filming season 2 of Andor to make the jump to the MCU anytime soon.
"I was talking about that this morning, like the rumors. When you become part of rumors, half of the rumors were real, you know. It’s just incredible the amount of stuff that I see now out there. The only thing I can tell you is that, for the next two years, I’m busy. In two years, we’ll see if what I want to do is even film."
This would seem to take him out of the running, but again, even if he has somehow figured out a workaround to shoot Fantastic Four, he's hardly going to admit it!
Matt Shakman is directing the reboot from a script by Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer. Plot details are still a mystery, but Kevin Feige has confirmed that this will not be another origin story for the super-team.
Fantastic Four is set to hit theaters on February 14th, 2025.
