FANTASTIC FOUR Set Pics Glimpse The Baxter Building

Possibly revealing a nod to the Ultimate Marvel universe, "Baxter Institute" signage has been spotted on The Fantastic Four set, which also references to Marvel's First Family's base of operations.

Over the weekend, The Fantastic Four filming had closed a few streets in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and transformed them into New York City with various set dressings. There were NYC taxis, buses, payphones, and even hot dog stands among other props brought to the set, but recent photos (via Latino Review) also reveal that an office building at the location had doubled the exterior of the Baxter Building, or "Baxter Institute" as the huge plaque reads above the entrance.

Directed by Josh Trank, The Fantastic Four stars Miles Teller (Reed Richards), Michael B. Jordan (Johnny Storm), Kate Mara (Sue Storm), Jamie Bell (Ben Grimm), Toby Kebbell (Victor von Doom), Reg E. Cathey (Dr Franklin Storm), and Tim Blake Nelson (Harvey Elder), and hits June 19, 2015.

Fox has truly lost their mind with this project. After this....there is no coming back.

I still don't understand why everyone is attacking this movie already. Its got a solid cast and a great writer and director. Personally I haven't seen or heard anything about the project that sounds terrible. But I guess people just like to hate for no reason

Sue and Jhonny are not real brothers, they are too young, Teller doesn't look like MrFantastic at all, any of the cast looks like their characters, the last 2 movies were crap. There's plenty of reasons to be attacking the movie, you're just being optimistic.

I don't care for this movie

@Nick56

Basically because this is one property that a lot of people wanted to see back at the MCU (which I can understand with villains like Galactus and Doom) However I'm cool with it, because it's one less film for marvel to give a crappy excuse of why they have too many films going to make a Black Panther film. lol I have total trust in Trank though, really looking forward towards seeing how this all turns out.

@Bekss Is it really that big of a deal that they are step siblings instead of biological siblings? Imo it adds an interesting family dynamic. And yes its a younger cast but they are going for a younger incarnation of the team much like the Ultimate Fantastic Four. And this is unrelated to the previous 2 movies anyways so the fact that those 2 were crap have no effect on this. And yeah Im being optimistic because honestly nothing has bothered me about this so far and it'd be foolish to be negative about something before we even see a second of footage. But to each there own

I still don't get the "Sue and Johnny" not being real brother and sister complaint?! Does blood in anyway make you more connected (emotionally or mentally) than the bond of a step brother and/or step sister? There's people out here who are blood connected and they still treat each other like sh**. I mean what are we looking for? Seeing Johnny's blonde hair flowing beautifully as he flames on?! Give me a break! lol

@Nick56

They are attacking it because of the cast and their age not being similar to the classic Fantastic Four. This could literally be one of the best CBM's ever. We don't know yet, but its just Fanboy rage that has no backing to it.

never said I was complaining about the movie, I said I don't care about the movie. What I'm saying is that you can't say there's not bad things about it, just like others can't say there's not good things

Take a look at Fox's track-record with CBM's (which includes two films that raped the Fantastic Four) and tell me it has "no backing".

That's unrelated to this film though. You can't blame this Director for what Tim Story did. Besides things are different now. You can't get away with shit like that nowadays with the types of CBM's coming out. Well... actually..... Marc Webb did.

The only reason most people (including myself) are worried about this project is because of the past. And with the news that breaks about this film, be it casting or tone, it doesn't help. But I welcome Fox to prove me wrong. I'd love for this to be a good CBM.

I was referring to your comment but I wasn't directly referring to you in general. That response goes towards anyone who may have had issues with it (which I can respect in a way) but I'm just curious at the same time. I personally don't think they'll go the whole "adopted" route. They could be step brother and step sister, who knows you know? lol

ah I see. yeah Fox's track record is not great and does make me worry a little, but I do think that Trank has a lot of potential as a Director. Have you seen Chronicle yet? I recommend that one for a watch. Like you said though hopefully they can prove us all wrong.
