Fox Pushes THE FANTASTIC FOUR, ASSASSIN CREED And THE SECRET SERVICE Release Dates Back

Joining the 2015 superhero summer movie surge, the Fantastic Four reboot has swapped dates with the Assassin Creed film, while The Secret Service has been pushed back into a new year! Check it out!

Considering there're no cast members yet attached, at least to our knowledge, as well as the rumored start-date delay, it comes as no huge surprise that 20th Century Fox has pushed back the early Spring 2015 release date of The Fantastic Four (yes, that's the title). Swapping dates with Michael Fassbender's video game adaptation film Assassin Creed, whose release date is now August 7, 2015, Josh Trank's reboot of Marvel's First Family will now release on June 19th, 2015. Also, another big shift on Fox's schedule includes Matthew Vaughn's The Secret Service adaptation which has been bumped from November 14, 2014 to March 6, 2015, which is The Fantastic Four's previous release date. In light of its new date, the superhero reboot joins quite a few other huge summer of 2015 comic book movies - hitting theaters a month after The Avengers: Age of Ultron and also a month before Ant-Man; which isn't too far from Batman Vs. Superman! What do you think?

Not a shock when the cast is not even final. Also it now will get lost in the Summer. Fox would be better off pushing the movie to come out in August.

So it's another CBM trying to compete with AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON in the same year. Like sharks out for blood. Lol.

Fox will end up having to give the rights of FF back to Marvel. I can see it ending up the same way DareDevil did.

You clowns are hating a movie that doesn't have a script, cast or budget. You are the same clowns that wait for you to be told what to like. [Fricking] clowns.

lol this gives them more time to not get anything done. I wonder when the deadline is to get everything in production before the rights revert.

They should push it back to 2016 and actually put together a good cast and story and do it right.

If that is too long for them and they would lose the rights, then so be it.

Tired of FOX ruining franchises.

Can the film just get cancelled? Fantastic Four should be at Marvel.

Im pretty sure that when the clock really starts to get ticking, FOX WILL make this movie no matter how bad or rushed it is just to spite marvel. I kinda just hope it fails just cuz i think if it fails then they'll just hand the rights back to Marvel...but not without letting them expire which would mean marvel could get their hands on them in.....2023-25.

Just shows that Fox has no clue what they're doing with anything not related to X-Men. Hopefully it fails miserably and Marvel gets the rights back to FF.

"As long as Josh Trank delivers a good movie, I don't care when the movie is released."

He won't. Not based on what we've seen. And the fact that FOX is involved at all.

It took them 13 years to finally put out a CBM without a ton of flaws (The Wolverine) and even it has a couple, and isn't really that great of a Wolverine movie. Wolverine could be so much better (Jackman is great though).

I heard its because Tyler Perry is already involved in a project so pushing back means he can still be Mr fantastic

I would rather FOX not ruin the franchise further possibly making it to where no one ever wants to see a Fantastic Four film again. They are being real jerks about this.

Avengers age of ultron in May

In June
Jurassic World
Terminator 5
Fantastic 4

In July
Batman/Superman
Antman

Not a good idea for FF to release in June, its going to get lost in the summer. That March date was perfect for it

I love the FOX X-Men movies but there seems to be a curse on the F4. I say give it to Marvel. The F4 fit better into the MCU than the X-Universe anyway.

Can't Disney just buy them back? The F4 can't cost as much as Spidey and the X-Men. I'm sure if the F4 was on the roster of the MCU; Namor, Black Panther, and The Inhumans would have an easier time being introduced.

Lame.

You're absolutely right TheAbomination, most people will think its a continuation of the last one and that left a horrible taste in everyones mouth.
