CinemaCon: Universal To Release SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN Sequel In 2015

At CinemaCon today, Universal Pictures confirmed that a follow up to last year's fantasy epic Snow White And The Huntsman (which has Kristen Stewart attached to return) will be released at some point in 2015. We also have an update on the next Bourne installment.

Universal Pictures was present at CinemaCon today, and the studio featured a lot of goodies. They showed footage from films on its 2013 slate, and announced that Fast & Furious 7 will be released on July 11th, 2014. However, they also confirmed that development is moving forward on a sequel to Snow White And The Huntsman. According to chairman Adam Fogelson, the SWATH follow-up is currently targeting a 2015 release. This makes it just one of many blockbusters to be released that year - The Avengers 2, The Fantastic Four, Star Wars: Episode VII, Finding Dory and many more are expected to hit theaters then. Kristen Stewart is confirmed to reprise her role as Snow White, with Rupert Sanders not returning to direct the sequel. With a 2015 release in mind, expect more news to come soon.

Additionally, Fogelson offered an update on the follow-up to last year's The Bourne Legacy. Despite being the lowest grossing of the series, Universal is "actively working" on a fifth Bourne movie. He didn't specify whether or not Jeremy Renner's Aaron Cross will star, or if Matt Damon will make his return as Jason Bourne (which is very unlikely at this stage, as the actor has been very vocal about his lack of interest in returning unless there's a story worth telling and/or Paul Greengrass returns to the director's chair). Tony Gilroy, who both helmed and wrote The Bourne Legacy, previously expressed his interest in coming back for future installments.

Sweet! I surprisingly enjoyed the first. It was one of the more underrated movies of 2012. Glad that Kristen Stewart is still starring. I really liked her as Snow White.

The sequel nobody asked for, to the movie nobody liked. How about green lighting HellBoy 3 already, Universal?

Universal is a real leader of innovative movies that push the boundaries to ensure audiences see things they've never seen before.

Just kidding, this will suck just like the last one.

Kristen Stewart cannot act to save her life, shes like a female version of that pr!ck who played legolas and the blacksmith/new davy in pirates, the snow white film was nice to look at but the story was w@nk, is she already getting bored of twilight boyfriend again?! lol

I finally watched SWATCH On Demand a couple days ago and Kristen Stewart literally has like 15 lines the entire movie.

She's absolutely beautiful, but says next to nothing.

Who cares. This movie was boring as hell. I don't want to watch a boring ass Huntsman movie either. Money made is the only reason this thing is getting a sequel. This ends here, unless a trailer fools a bunch of new people into seeing this sequel.

The only reason the first movie was a success was because it didn't have any real competition when it was released. 2015 is gonna be an insane year for movies. This is not a good idea, Universal.
