Thanks to Comingsoon.net who interviewed Liebsman, the director of the sequel, he says that the actors have been in training for three weeks with plans to start shooting the film in ten days to make its March 23, 2012 release date. Liebesman has been traveling to the Canary Islands and all over England and Wales looking for interesting locations to shoot the movie.
"It's going to be a much more natural gritty, grounded fantasy movie. "Just think 'Gladiator' with lots of creatures, I'm excited. It's a good opportunity to do something awesome with some great actors in a great genre."
