It's May - the time blockbusters tend to start roaming our theaters. One of those films, 'Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger's Tides' has already made a big statement at IMAX theaters before it's even come out. Movieweb.com tells us why:

According to IMAX Corporation and Walt Disney Studios, 'Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger's Tides' will be released this Friday, May 20th at a IMAX record of 257 screens domestically simultaneous with it's North American release at the 3D format home. Along with that, at least six supplementary theaters will present the film after the May 20th release - the official confirmation on that is expected soon. The film will open day-and-date on 139 IMAX screens internationally and according to reports, advance ticket sales are already considerably high. This is the first time a 'Pirates' movie has made it to IMAX and is already making a name for itself so far.

Look for the fourth 'Pirates' installment this Friday!
