Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance Set Report Vid

This strange Turkish news report from the set of the Ghost Rider sequel shows Nicholas Cage and friends engaging in a spot of climbing. We also see Cage as Johnny Blaze astride his Hellcycle..

The vid shows set footage inter-cut with footage from the previous Ghost Rider as well as scenes from a completely different martial arts/ninja type flick. I'm sure if we had a clue what the broadcaster was saying it would all make sense. Probably. Anyway, here we have Cage, along with cast members Idris Elba, Violet Placido and his stuntman Rick English on the Spirit Of Vengeance set..

The story sees Johnny Blaze, aka Ghost Rider (Nicolas Cage) hiding out in remote Eastern Europe and struggling to repress his curse. Blaze is recruited by a sect to take on the Devil, who wants to take over his mortal son’s body on the boy’s birthday.

The movie is directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor and is set to hit theatres February 17th 2012.

Let me solve the mystery!

In this footage Cage is mocked about his incapacity to climb a 10 meter fort wall. Reporter says that Cage was unable to climb the wall, although a set worker showed instructions many times.
I guess it's because of the leather pants he rocks(!).

He is also compared to a Turkish actor (Cuneyt Arkin), who often played heroic characters in old Turkish action movies with ridiculously cheesy and dangerous stunts. Those are not ninjas by the way, they are Byzantine guards beaten by our Turkish super-fantastic-überhero using claws made of iron. Those funny movies are suprisingly enjoyable and were serious blockbusters at their time.

And yes, Turkish news programs are well known for their stupid comments, unnecessary repetition and magnification of a very short footage.
