Mind you, this isn't a full, clear look at his attire, underneath the trench coat, he could have on the familiar Deadshot costume. Regardless, this version is already much closer to the comic book depiction of the character than what was shown in Smallville. While I'm sure most of you guys would prefer the mask, I think you should reserved final judgement until we see Floyd Lawton in action. For now, what do you guys think about the look of Deadshot on the show? Sound off below in the usual spot.

UPDATE: EPISODE SYNOPSIS | DC COMICS’ VILLIAN DEADSHOT SETS HIS SIGHTS ON ARROW — Oliver (Stephen Amell) is surprised when someone shoots and kills one of his targets. As his plan is to bring people to justice vs. outright killing them, Oliver doesn’t appreciate the help and searches for the gunman. He soon learns that the man, Deadshot (guest star Michael Rowe), is taking out businessmen who are scheduled to bid at an auction on an energy company and Walter (Colin Salmon) is one of the bidders. Realizing he can’t protect his family and stop Deadshot at the same time, Oliver enlists Detective Lance’s (Paul Blackthorne) help, but his plan has dire consequences. Meanwhile, Laurel (Katie Cassidy) and Tommy (Colin Donnell) get caught in an awkward situation with Oliver. Willa Holland, David Ramsey and Susanna Thompson also star. Guy Bee directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti & Andrew Kreisberg and teleplay by Marc Guggenheim & Andrew Kreisberg (103)

After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. When he returns home to Starling City, his devoted mother Moira, much-beloved sister Thea, and best friend Tommy welcome him home, but they sense Oliver has been changed by his ordeal on the island. While Oliver hides the truth about the man he's become, he desperately wants to make amends for the actions he took as the boy he was. Most particularly, he seeks reconciliation with his former girlfriend, Laurel Lance. As Oliver reconnects with those closest to him, he secretly creates the persona of Arrow - a vigilante to right the wrongs of his family, fight the ills of society, and restore Starling City to its former glory. By day, Oliver plays the role of a wealthy, carefree and careless philanderer he used to be - flanked by his devoted chauffeur/bodyguard, John Diggle - while carefully concealing the secret identity he turns to under cover of darkness. However, Laurel's father, Detective Quentin Lance, is determined to arrest the vigilante operating in his city. Meanwhile, Oliver's own mother, Moira, knows much more about the deadly shipwreck than she has let on and is more ruthless than he could ever imagine.

Seems oversized, but galaxies better than Wild Bill Hiccup from smallville. Hope Slade stays simple.

He's screwed if someone comes up at him on his right. Looks like someone strapped a cake cutter to his head

I mean, I've never expected much from it, anyway. So...yeah, I think it could be a lot worse. This one's still acceptable for what it is, at the very least.

I hope you guys weren't expecting machine guns on the arms! I've seen stupid things in comics but Deadshot wins the cake with his "hand" guns. It obviously couldn't work in real life AND on TV. Thank God for that. The show looks more mature than Smallville and seems to be going to give us more characters from the comics so, that's good.

I can't believe I'm saying this but... Smallville Deadshot looked better!

This looks cheap and horrible...

All I can see is Brandon Routh (sp?) in the god awful 'Dylan Dog' shit-fest.

And I highly doubt there's more 'Deadshot' costume underneath his "super-realistic-take-where-everyone-wears-leather-jackets" costume.

In the words of Grif... "Shit, shit, shit."

Looks okay but definitely underwhleming. I'm thinking we'll go the Smallville route and the next time we see him he'll be closer to the comic or maybe the Arkham look costue wise. I was never a fan of the gun on the wristbands when they just look like the tops of pistols.

The eyepatch looks too low down like it's falling off, which isn't really helped by the fact it's so oversized.

looks good if he is aiming to shoot the ground. The application is too large and heavy and is pointing towards the ground. Something far more subtle would work better.

Thing is, with Arkham City, they have given them a very easy costume to replicate well.

But seriously, it looks like a stream punk strap on he took to didlo out of.

too BIG
One2three
One2three - 10/3/2012, 8:41 AM
That sight is all wrong. Its too big, it should be about the size of his eye socket, sit close to his face. To enhance vision. Not 2x his eye socket, extrude two inches out of his face to remove any remaining peripheral vision he may have had, and the damn thing's pointed at an angle to boot like a chameleons eye instead of straight ahead. Fail. Why couldn't they have used the classic white mask with the eye piece. Why do they gotta reinvent the wheel when it ain't broke. Had high hopes for this show. Still do, but, sigh...
