James Gunn's recent Tweet about his approach to casting for upcoming DCU projects has led to several actors reaching out to pitch the DC Studios co-CEO on considering them for certain roles, including one individual who should be very familiar to Smallville fans!
Kyle Gallner, who played Bart Allen on the popular CW series, feels he'd be a great fit for Green Arrow, and based on the support he's received online, we'd say quite a few fans are inclined to agree.
"Green arrow? I shoot, can grow the stache, I cook chili often, I wear a lot of green in my personal life and I’m easy to work with…a little extra prep time in the gym and some blonde hair dye…. Let’s get nuts," the actor responded.
We don't know if Oliver Queen will even factor into Gunn and Peter Safran's initial DCU plans, but the Emerald Archer has yet to make his big screen debut, so we'd say it's something the studio heads have at least given some serious thought.
Stephen Amell played the DC Comics hero over eight seasons of The CW's Arrow, and is set to reprise the role for the upcoming final season of The Flash.
Gallner has also appeared in the likes of Veronica Mars, Outsiders, American Sniper, Jennifer's Body, the remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street, and more recently, surprise horror hit Smile.
