Elfman Replaced by Howard For Green Hornet Score

Spill.com is reporting that Danny Elfman is no longer producing the musical score for the Green Hornet film, even though he was at first contracted. He has been replaced by James Newton Howard.

The reason behind the switch was said to be scheduling issues. Elfman needs to finish scoring other films such as "Restless" and "The Next Three Days." However, Howard is busy as well, working on "Gnomeo and Juliet" as well as "Green Hornet."

Only time will tell if this is really a significant change to the film. "Green Hornet" hits theaters January 2011.
