Glenn Close's Nova Prime Was Cut From GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2

Wondering where the Nova Corps was in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2? Director James Gunn has revealed that he shot a cameo featuring Glenn Close's Nova Prime so where has the scene vanished to?

The Nova Corps played a small but key role in Guardians of the Galaxy and while Richard Rider was nowhere to be seen, we did get to meet Glenn Close's Nova Prime. At the end of the movie, she put Ronan's Infinity Stone into storage but we've seen nothing of her since (despite the fact that Thanos is on the hunt for the Stones). However, James Gunn has revealed that she shot a cameo for Vol. 2!

"She had a cameo we didn’t use, yes," the filmmaker said of the scrapped scene during a recent fan Q&A. Like Nathan Fillion's cameo, it appears as if it was shot but not released either online or Blu-ray.

Where these will crop up remains to be seen but there's a very good chance the scenes are being saved for the inevitable Phase 3 box set which will include Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and a wave of other Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. There's a chance Nova Prime is now being saved for Avengers: Infinity War as she and the rest of the Nova Corps showing up there feels inevitable.

Are you disappointed that this scene was cut? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
