Man Suing His Date For Texting During GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2

A 37-year-old man from Austin, Texas took his date to a 3D screening of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, but he's now taking her to court for texting throughout the critically acclaimed Marvel movie.

A Texas man recently took a woman he met online to see Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, but their first date quickly became their last due to the fact she was responsible for what he calls "a first date from hell" due to her checking her phone "10 to 20 times in 15 minutes to read and send text messages."

He reportedly asked her to stop multiple times only to be met with countless refusals, something she said was because she was texting a friend who had a bust-up with her boyfriend. "I had my phone low and I wasn’t bothering anybody. It wasn’t like constant texting." Once the date was over, he asked for his money - a whopping $17.31 - back, but she refused because he had asked her out on the date.

Now, he's taking her to court
instead with a petition that her actions were in "direct" violation of the theater's non-texting policy and because the "defendant’s behaviour is a threat to civilised society." That's a tad extreme, but texting during a movie as good as this really is pretty damn unforgivable.

"I’m not a bad woman," she's since responded. "I just went out on a date." James Gunn disagrees:

@XelCorp - nah but seriously I get irritated too when I bring someone to a movie or they agree that they will watch something with me only for them to continuously do something else during the movie/tv show. Gets irritating

@XelCorp - Yeah man. When I went to see Logan this guy in front of my keep getting his phone out. He held it low but still I could see the light, it was mega distracting. They should just build a faraday cage around each screen, it's the only way to stop people. Suing, however, is a bit extreme. Pretty sure there's a buttload more pressing issues courts should be dealing with. lol...

@N0rrinRadical - What about parents who are at the movies and need their phones in case the baby sitter need to contact them? A Faraday cage sounds great but there are legit reason for having your phone on. Of course if you do need to use the phone you get up and leave the theater.

@XelCorp - Bruh....you just made an easy word harder. It's "must've" Lol.

But yeah he had to have been a hardcore fan because I'm a hardcore fan and I've never wanted to bautista bomb a baby until I saw this movie....who takes their baby to an action movie in IMAX 3D?!

I think you'll all agree with me when I say, if you can't find a babysitter guess what? You don't get to go to the movies.

Good news is it only cried twice. One more time tho......bautista bomb
