According to Mike Fleming at Deadline, Haley is in talks to portray Willie Loomis. On the original 1960s soap opera, Willie (played by John Karlen) was the one who, while searching for priceless jewelery on the estate of Collinwood, came across a chained coffin and opened it, inadvertently freeing vampire Barnabas Collins (who had spent the past two centuries chained in it) on the modern world.
Heathcote is being looked at for the role of Victoria Winters, portrayed originally by Alexandra Moltke on the series. In the beginning, the series centered around Victoria, though once Barnabas (played by Jonathan Frid then, Johnny Depp in the new movie)arrived on the scene he became the central focus. He did, however, look at Victoria as the reincarnation of his lost love Josette Du Pres and did everything he could to try and transform her into Josette.
