Deadline report that Craig Gillespie has decided to exit Pride And Prejudice And Zombies, making him the latest director to walk away from the Lionsgate project. The past few months have seen actress after actress (everyone from Natalie Portman to Emma Stone and Blake Lively) turn down the chance to star in the big screen adaptation of the Seth Grahame-Smith graphic novel which adds zombies to the well known Jane Austen classic. The site also speculate that it's now likely the studio will seek a director with a package from an agency which includes cast as well. What do you guys think? Will the movie ever see the light of day? Be sure to share your thoughts in the usual place!

For [frick]s sake! This thing needs to die, just so I stop hoping it will get made. If we didn't have Abe Lincoln: Vampire Hunter coming, I would be so pissed.

Read the signs you ignorant Hollywood suits! No one wants to make this or be in it! Use the time and money you were gonna throw at this to give someone with an original idea a shot instead of trying to desperately suckle at the already shriveled and dried zombie teet! LET IT GO

If Blake Lively turned it down, it must be crap.

That woman would sleep with Gusto to get a part.

i thought Blake Lively would make the perfect lead in this project...but, y'know what, after seeing that picture above, IMOGEN POOTS would do. sides, she's had a zombie flick in her resume already, so she'd know her way round this type of stories.

as the director, how about the guy who did the last version of pride and prejudice (forgot his name)..the one with keira knightley and rosamund pike. or Ang Lee. he's done a jane austen story, sense and sensibility..and he seems to be game in trying out different genres.

@tweeenkies Imogen Poots! <3
she'd be perfect for the part.

& I wonder if they asked Emma Watson
I think she'd be good too! it'll definitely be a more mature role for her
