Ghostbusters: Afterlife is set to hit theaters later this month, and Sony Pictures has now shared the first full clip from the movie online.

In this sneak peek, we see Mr. Grooberson (Paul Rudd) fire-up a ghost trap, inadvertently releasing what looks a lot like one of the terror dogs from the original '80s classic in the process. His students Phoebe (McKenna Grace) and Podcast (Logan Kim) witness the blunder, which is enough to convince the latter that his pal's grandfather was indeed one of the legendary Ghostbusters.

Check out the clip below along with a new IMAX poster, and let us know what you think.

From director Jason Reitman and producer Ivan Reitman, comes the next chapter in the original Ghostbusters universe. In Ghostbusters: Afterlife, when a single mom and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind.

Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, and Annie Potts have all been confirmed to reprise their roles from the original movies, but we still don't know exactly how they'll be reintroduced.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife is set to blast into theaters on November 11, 2021.

The more I hear about this the worse it sounds.

@regularmovieguy - The reviews are a lot more mixed than I had expected (the people who didn't like the film really slander it), but I am willing to bet the fan reaction will be fairly positive. The things the critics don't like the fans aren't likely to care about, mostly because where the critics see superficial fanservice and the overly serious tone, these are the things the fans are going to enjoy.

@Itwasme - I'm not sure if fans will like it either. The trailers and the tone of the new film just feels wrong. Ghostbusters as a premise was goofy and stupid. Bill Murray throughout the original movie looked confused or high on cocaine and just uttered nonsense because he didn't understand what movie he was making. But in the new film everything is treated with so much respect and nostalgia as if the 1st film or the Ghostbusters team were legendary superheroes. The tone is completely wrong. Ghostbusters was about a bunch of middle age men (snl comedians) starting a business in New York and how shitty it is, not some epic ghost hunting film or legacy inheritance.

@Bluesman - all the bad reviews I've seen so far have been about a few things, one that the Easter eggs aren't Easter eggs but in your face, which is on the critic for falling for comic con hype. I ve seen it say it was too much fan service and that it doesn't honor the original cast. Idk about Murray being in it or not - but he's notorious for being a dick about these films and Ernie Hudson would be a great add for sure and Dan akroyd has a cameo I believe...is Hudson in it at all?

@Gizmoduck - yes, Hudson, Murray and Aykroyd are in the movie.

I hate that I have to feel old for knowing with utter fact and reverence that her grandfather was a Ghostbuster.

I saw the 84 one in the theater on Friday, seeing it on the bring screen was amazing! There's so many old movies I need to watch on the big screen. I'm hyped for this, bring on the member berries. 2016 GB is the worst pos sequel ever! Not counting Wishmaster 2 lmao. And that doesn't make you sexist if you didn't like it. There's a reason why you don't ad lib a whole movie. Anyways..

For some reason it just feels perfect to have Paul Rudd in a Ghostbusters movie

@bkmeijer - I was thinking the exact same thing! I don't know why and I can't explain it but if you were to do a modern Ghostbusters movie Paul Rudd would HAVE to be in it for some reason.

God I'm looking forward to this movie! Between this and the new Matrix movie, the year is going to end on one hell of a nostalgia trip!

This is the kind of humor that a “Ghostbusters” movie should have, not the fart- screeching-slip on a banana peel type that the 2016 abomination gave us.

I always imagined Rudd being in a new Ghostbusters films, but I imagined him as like a Peter Venkman type and one of the new Ghostbusters, not the new Louis Tully comedic relief... but ok lol
