My thoughts of Freddy's Dead The Final Nightmare.

Well this is the film in the series that hits rock bottom. I guess Freddy has killed the last of the Springwood kids and he has found his long lost daughter. A few of her friends are then killed by Freddy and yada yada.

The teen characters are all dumb and unlikeable. Alice was much more likeable then Lisa Zane. Robert Englund does his best but in this one Freddy is a goof ball although fans will still adore him he's a shadow of his former self.

The kills are the high light of the film. The death by Freddy scratching his nails on the chalk board making a teens head explode was hilarious and kinda gross. The video game death is corney, kind interesting and classic.

In this film it is revealed that the things that keep bringing Freddy back are these floating fire head things. It's kind of cool knowing what brought Freddy back all these times. However in the original it was creepy not knowing where Freddy came from but by now after six films we want to know what keeps bringing the guy back.

This film lacks fear, creativity and the heart that the others have. Although hard core fans will enjoy the laugh and of course Freddy himself. Thank god they made a few more after this one because the certainly did not "Save the best for last."

I give "Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare" a D.
