THE LOST BOYS CW Pilot Sets Principal Cast; TWILIGHT's Catherine Hardwicke Will Direct
We recently heard about The CW's plans to bring cult classic vampire movie The Lost Boys to the small screen, and now the network has revealed its principal cast members along with the pilot's director...
After initially passing on a small-screen adaptation of '80s horror comedy The Lost Boys back in 2016, The CW recently had had a change of heart, and has now revealed the principal cast of its upcoming pilot.
For the most part, it looks like the main players will mirror the characters from the movie. Tyler Posey (Teen Wolf) will play Michael Emerson, while Kingdom alum Kiele Sanchez has been cast as his mother, Lucy. David the vampire will be played by Dakota Shapiro (Valley of the Boom), and Medalion Rahimi (Still Star-Crossed) will portray Stella, a version of the Star character played by Jami Gertz in the film.
There's no word on who's been cast as Mike's little brother Sam, or The Frogg brothers sisters! Yes, we're hearing that the fan-favorite vampire-hunting duo from the movie will be gender-switched.
Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight, Miss Bala, Thirteen) will helm the pilot episode, which was written by Heather Mitchell. Check out the lengthy synopsis below, and let us know what you think of this news in the comments.

The only thing that consoles him is the friendship he strikes up with Stella (Rahimi), a young woman who runs a concession stand on the Santa Carla boardwalk.
Rahimi’s Stella, carefree and Californian, has an immediate spark with Michael (Posey), but she’s not single: Her boyfriend is the sexy, dangerous and immortal vampire David (Shapiro). And now she’ll have to choose between the living and the undead…
