What Makes Twilight So Popular?

Spot on! That was pretty good. I have half a notion to post that on my Facebook wall and piss off my female friends who worship the Twilight series. :P

The reason Twilight is popular is simply this: Wish fulfillment. Bella is written so any lonely preteen girl can put herself in Bella's shoes and live out Bella's perfect life. Which includes have two gorgeous guys fighting over you, being pretty, being popular without having to try, getting everything you want without having to work for it, and getting to be young forever. Not to mention having the most beautiful wedding, and the perfect demon spawn (opps I mean child). Oh and don't forget the perfect family, and your human family who could care less what you do.

Gosh every time Twilight is mentioned I get bad memories of the time that I used to be a huge twitard. Thank god I'm normal now. :)

My reaction to watching New Moon:

@TABOO---Hey kiddo, sounds like you had a rough start there in life and you may not believe me when I say this but I went through the EXACT same thing at your age (gangs, being a bully, group homes, etc.) I sympathize and think its great that you're on a positive path now. I wear my Superman, Green Lantern shirts with pride too, just not Twilight. lol

My daughters aren't bulliess, I assure you. (Nor would I EVER condone them bullying others!) It's quite the opposite! They got bullied for not following the trend. It started when a girl at school stole my daughters Twilight book from HER. (Borrowed and never gave back.)

To cheer my girl up, I showed her the pilot episode of ROSWELL, and showed her how Twilight was a rip-off of that show and how unoriginal the franchise really is. (Watch the ROSWELL pilot on Hulu and see.) With this realization, My daughter then took her posters off her wall and the next day at school, gave them to the girl and said:"Here. Keep them. Be a follower." She then converted my other daughters to hate Twilight.

All of the money that would have gone to Twilight, now goes to my four girls and my son's MMA classes. Trust me, they KNOW not to cross the wrong kind of kid, (I taught them that one early in life) but they themselves aren't crossed either. ;)

I apologize if I gave you the wrong impression, and I hope this clears things up. :)

cause dumb girls like that crap. its freaking horrible. im not gonna lie i watched through the first 2 and never watching that again. gay ass vampires that sparkle. and then theres the whole thing with the native americans being decendants of werewolves thats kind of racist lol. the action sequences blow as well. anyways that being said F@#$ twilight
