Iron Man 2 Extremis Armor (Toy)

The IM2 toys keep providing good potential spoilers. Lets hope they are all in the movie.

When the first Iron Man movie was released, Jon Favreau said that the extremis armor would never make an appearance in the films. But Ive found evidence that the armor will in fact make an appearance as the Mark V armor.

There is almost no doubt that these armors are the same

Has anyone read Warren Ellis's Extremis storyline? If not check it out. AMAZING!

Yea...one of my favorite arcs ever. And the artist, though I can't remember his name is 2nd only to Alex Ross in my opinion.

I suspect Favreau is enough of a Iron Man geek to know what Extremis means-- the bio-engineered Tony. Of course we will see a lot of Adi Granov designs, including a similar looking suit-- but no Extremis tech.

To me, it looks like the only similarities is the triangle center piece.

Well, the CG Extremis Armor has been online since before Iron Man 1 was out and looking closely, the toy and the picture are different (Legs are different, shoulders are different head is different and the torso below the triangle power source is different). Just because there is a toy doesn't mean it will be in the movie. I mean there is a Guardian Armor, a Titanium Man Armor and a Stealth Armor all of which have the Iron Man Movie logo, but aren't in the movie nor were they scripted to be so!
