For those who haven't seen Iron Man 3 yet, shame on you, but yes there is a SPOILER for the movie and end credits scene ahead.
Oh you're still here, good.
At the end of Iron Man 3, it is revealed to us that the narration through the entire film was actually Tony talking to his geeky green buddy, Bruce Banner, which was great because it didn't leave us thinking "hey, weren't Tony and Bruce good friends in the Avengers? Why didn't he mention him at all?" Well as great as (I thought) it was, here's my idea for how the end credit scene that we were hoping for, Tony and GotG, could've gone, but a little differently.
At the end of the credits, while still black, we hear something like this: "Help, this is Peter Quill and we have an emergency situation. Calling anyone available. Please. Help." It is staticky and on a loop. Fade into Tony, post Iron Man 3, possibly at Avengers tower, sweating, listening to this recording on a loop, while working on what looks to be a new suit. He mumbles to himself, "how do I power this d@mn thing?!" and begins to stress out. The recording is still looping and as the camera fades out we see the Mark 43, a deep space capable suit with the likeness of the Mark 42 prototype, half-built. As the scene cuts to black, it ends with the end of Peter's message; his last "help."
What do you guys think? It's a little underdeveloped and I think James Gunn or Joss Whedon could've contributed to it to make it epic (I'm not a director or writer haha), but I think the general idea could've been really cool.
DJRock out :)
