Josh..?
DanielKlissmman - 8/30/2021, 11:56 AM
@RageDriver2401 - Lol, I'm flattered. But I'm not Josh.

Like I replied to another user, my name is Daniel. I've been a writer for a few years for other sites under the pen name "Franco Gucci."

Hope you enjoyed the read!
JonAwesome - 8/30/2021, 12:52 PM
@DanielKlissmman - how is Captain Marvel an “amazing film”?
Razorface1 - 8/30/2021, 12:54 PM
@JonAwesome - Well it was amazing and it was a film so...
Origame - 8/30/2021, 2:37 PM
@Razorface1 - both those words are entirely questionable when it comes to captain marvel.
bkmeijer2 - 8/30/2021, 2:59 PM
@DanielKlissmman - why does Franco Gucci sound like an alternate future mega-conglomerate ruler?
Razorface1 - 8/30/2021, 4:27 PM
@Origame - I disagree.
Origame - 8/30/2021, 5:08 PM
@Razorface1 - well I agree we disagree.
Razorface1 - 8/30/2021, 5:23 PM
@Origame - I disagree with that.
McMurdo - 8/30/2021, 7:05 PM
@DanielKlissmman - LOL right and IM not Josh either. PLEASE.
DanielKlissmman - 8/30/2021, 10:48 PM
@bkmeijer - I mean... who says I'm not? ;)
bkmeijer2 - 8/31/2021, 12:36 AM
@DanielKlissmman - hmm, good point
dracula - 8/30/2021, 11:30 AM
9.Agree
8.Hell no
7.It's nice but wouldn't say it makes any Spiderman or Iron Man stories better, in fact it hurts Spider-man stories.
6.Eh, a bottom of the barrel movie

Really the entire Civil War movie is better than the comic. The Civil War comic is mediocre at best, only remembered for its clickbait moments and stuff that happened in tie in material.
bkmeijer2 - 8/30/2021, 11:33 AM
@dracula - 100% agreed on Civil War. For me, it's definitely up there as one of the best stories the MCU has to offer.

Infinity War is great, but what the Russos and the writers did with Civil War really makes me think they're a good fit for Secret Wars.
tripttwe - 8/30/2021, 11:53 AM
@dracula - my favorite moment in the comic was CW#5 Captain America vs Punisher.
TheWalkingCuban - 8/30/2021, 11:57 AM
@dracula - yeah this Civil War was def better than the last one
bkmeijer2 - 8/30/2021, 11:31 AM
I don't really care as much for 7 and 3, but I agree with the rest for the most part. I'm still a big fan of Mandarin being a fake-out, although I definitely get why it divides the fan base so much
JFerguson - 8/30/2021, 11:33 AM
This was an enjoyable read. No clickbait, provided some insight into things I never would have thought of before, and showed knowledge of both comic book and CBM mediums.

Good job Jos.. I mean Daniel.

DanielKlissmman - 8/30/2021, 11:52 AM
@JFerguson - Hi! I'm glad you enjoyed the article. I'm not Josh. My name is Daniel, and I've been a writer under the pen name "Franco Gucci" for the past six years. I've been a fan of the site for a long time, but this is the first time I've created an account for it :)
ShellHead - 8/30/2021, 11:36 AM
Honestly it's nice to see one of these articles, instead of "15 Times the MCU makes NO SENSE" or "10 Characters FAILED by the MCU"
GhostDog - 8/30/2021, 11:44 AM
5, 4, and 9 are legit. All significantly elevated the lore.

4 has found elements of its material into the modern comics.
McMurdo - 8/30/2021, 11:46 AM
Thanos is far scarier in the comics. His obsession with Death being both literal and metaphorical. A true psychopath. The movie motivations were pure stupid. Having it be about resources pulled me right out of the movie because he could have just created infinite resources.
LongMayHeReign - 8/30/2021, 12:12 PM
@McMurdo - What's your plan for storing infinite resources?
ShimmyShimmyYA - 8/30/2021, 12:14 PM
@LongMayHeReign - everyone must constantly eat food extract minerals and burn fuel at the same time don’t ask me how not my problem
LongMayHeReign - 8/30/2021, 12:21 PM
@ShimmyShimmyYA - In an alternate timeline where Thanos creates infinite resources every living thing has diabetes and the air is covered in smog!
McMurdo - 8/30/2021, 12:41 PM
@LongMayHeReign - easy. Snap some planets into existence as part of your resources boosting plan. Better yet, create resources that strictly never deplete. He had the power of creation and all he could think of was wiping out half the universe only to eventually come right back to the same damn problem.
Itwasme - 8/30/2021, 12:45 PM
@McMurdo - Thanos scarier in the comics? Really? The guy was a clown, so much so the main heroes just sat around the whole time because Warlock know Thanos was such a fool he'd be his own downfall.
ShimmyShimmyYA - 8/30/2021, 2:58 PM
@McMurdo - Infinite planets ? Also that’s why he’s the mad titan because he thought genocide was the only way
bkmeijer2 - 8/30/2021, 3:03 PM
@McMurdo - maybe not infinite resources, but if I were Thanos I would just evolve photosynthesis up to the point plants grow atleast twice as quickly. More plants means more food, which also means more animals can be fed and eventually killed for its meat too
McMurdo - 8/30/2021, 7:07 PM
@bkmeijer - there’s ten thousand options that make him seem less like a purple bafoon
Slotherin - 8/30/2021, 7:28 PM
@McMurdo - damn, you've got a point
Armageddon26 - 8/30/2021, 11:48 AM
10: So far, Kang.

His comic origins are a convoluted mess. Having Kang’s origin be explored with the introduction to the multiverse makes introducing and explaining all the versions of him so much easier to follow.

McMurdo - 8/30/2021, 11:56 AM
@Armageddon26 - can dig it yep
heyy1 - 8/30/2021, 5:20 PM
@Armageddon26 - i found his backstory in Loki very clear which is surprising for a multiversal time-traveling villain. Although I don’t understand how killing him opened the multiverse. The TVA are still there closing branches.
ScottSummers - 8/30/2021, 11:51 AM
@TheDoctor1225
@BlackBeltJones
@Origame

This is precisely the kind of content I was talking about.

Well done, Daniel Klissman. Here's hoping for many more!
DanielKlissmman - 8/30/2021, 11:57 AM
@FortWaba - Thanks, my friend! Much appreciated :)
GhostDog - 8/30/2021, 1:13 PM
@FortWaba - nice!
bkmeijer2 - 8/30/2021, 3:05 PM
@FortWaba - if instead of listing the things something does wrong, you want content that talks about what it does right, then I agree with you
