Nick Cassavetes will be the director for the Iron Man movie, IGN Filmforce has confirmed. He directed The Notebook (not exactly an action-packed adventure film). Casting should begin immmediately.

New Line Cinema and Marvel hope to have the Armored Avenger in theaters in the summer of 2006.

The project is based on a script by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, and David Hayter.
