The story of Dredd takes place on a fictional Earth created as a result of the Atomic Wars. Survivors of this period are currently living in Mega-Cities, which protects its citizens from the Cursed Earth, a radioactive desert environment populated by mutants. The main story takes place in Mega-City One, where Judge Dredd (Karl Urban), a senior law enforcement officer, teams up with a cadet called Judge Anderson (Olivia Thirlby) to track down a terrorist organization lead by Ma-Ma (Lena Headey), who is responsible for selling a reality-altering drug called Slo-Mo.

Thanks to Kinopoisk.ru for the pics. Dredd is directed by Pete Travis and stars Karl Urban, Olivia Thirlby and Lena Headey. It's scheduled for release September 21st, 2012.

I don't know. I think it's going to be like Punisher: War Zone. You're either going to hate it or love it. You'll have some half saying that it's spot on like the comics and the other half saying that it's pure shit.

I read the script and it's incredibly violent. If what's written is shown on the screen in all of it's gory glory, then, like War Zone, I think at least they'll have gotten the violence side of it right. From the images above and others I've seen I'm crossing my fingers that this one gets it right.

Oh, and I was one of those that loved War Zone and thought "Now THIS is what the Punisher SHOULD be like".

@Preacher, I dug WAR ZONE too. It was like the over the top John Romita Jr. Punisher I grew up on come to life. When people say they want it to be like the comics they need to be more specific because there are different versions of characters in comics. The people who wanted something more like PUNISHER MAX are the ones who hated WAR ZONE because it wasn't the serious grim and gritty version of the Punisher, but the over the top, cheesy, violent, cartoonish action hero version of the character.
