JUSTICE LEAGUE: It Appears Henry Cavill Is Not Involved In Reshoots (Yet) As Work On THE WITCHER Continues

England is about to go into a four-week lockdown, but it doesn't appear as if Henry Cavill will be jetting off to the U.S. for Zack Snyder's Justice League reshoots as he's still working on The Witcher...

We've heard a lot of different claims about which actors are involved with Zack Snyder's Justice League reshoots, but it seems - for now, at least - Henry Cavill won't be returning as Superman.

Considering almost all his scenes were reshot by Joss Whedon, Snyder might have all the material he needs. However, it's also possible that Cavill has already filmed the additional footage the filmmaker needs (or that he will do so in the coming weeks once he's finished working on The Witcher).

For now, it appears the plan is for the British actor to continue shooting the Netflix series in order to get season two finished in time for its planned 2021 arrival on the streaming service. While England is about to go into a four-week lockdown, productions like The Witcher have been allowed to continue shooting.

As for Zack Snyder's Justice League, despite the trailer being removed due to copyright issues with Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah," the four-part series remains on track for a 2021 debut on HBO Max.

Holy shit I could’ve sworn Henry said he wasn’t scheduled for reshoots. Haha am I wrong??

@regularmovieguy - You're not wrong. He said he wasn't doing any reshoots, his part was done and he was just sitting back watching it unfold.

I think Josh ran that article so IDK why he is acting surprised at this.

@inkniron - Hey, Josh runs 64 articles per day. He's not going to remember content.

@regularmovieguy - No your right. The 2 different connotations are just confusing people. He confirmed that he hasn't been scheduled for reshoots, but he never confirmed whether or not he's just waiting for a schedule or he's not involved in it at all.

Many are just assuming that he hasn't been scheduled yet but is involved. WB is probably having a hard time with him because it seems like his agents won't let him do reshoots unless WB/AT&T guarantee him a solo film.

@mastakilla39 - He confirmed in an interview with collider on 5 September 2020 that he wasn't doing any additional photography.

“Not shooting anything additional. No. It’s all stuff that has been already done. Obviously I don’t know how things are going to evolve and change and adapt depending on now a different length of movie and whatever may happen in post-production. Whatever lessons may be learned from what is it four years since Justice League came out? Four years’ worth of fan reaction. For me…I’m now just watching the party.”

@inkniron - Yeah but that was before Snyder announced full reshoots on Oct 21 2020. Cavil only said what WB told him at that time.

But during Enola Holmes interview on Sept 24 with GQ:

"Well, I think it’s important that this should be about Enola Holmes,” he says. [Interviewer] That sounds very much, I say, like a way of saying “no comment” without actually denying it. Henry Cavill grins slightly. “I said what I said.”

The above GQ quote is why many are assuming he just hasn't been scheduled yet. They all say something different every day and that's what is confusing us all.

@mastakilla39 - It actually sounds like he'd like to focus on his current project being released than the failed project they're trying to resuscitate.

English mansion, muscles, chopper in the background, and an Akita for a pet. Living the dream. Oh, and give him Bond already.

He's probably fed up with all this WB/DC/Snyder/Whedon crap.
