JUSTICE LEAGUE VFX Supervisors Confirm That "Many [Snyder Cut] VFX Shots Are Complete"

Following remarks from Jason Momoa about the "Snyder Cut" of Justice League, some of the movie's VFX Supervisors have now revealed that it's in a more finished state that most of us would have expected...

Evidence continues to mount that the "Snyder Cut" of Justice League not only exists but is much closer to being finished than we ever realised. While Aquaman star Jason Momoa recently talked about his desire for fans to see that version of Zack Snyder's DC Comics adaptation, VFX supervisors John Desjardin and Bryan Hirota have now also weighed in.

"Many VFX shots are complete, some percentage were various stages of completion, from early postvis to almost done (but not quite)," Desjardin revealed, with Hirota adding, "I'd concur."

Recently, composer Junkie XL confirmed that he'd completed his score for Justice League before Joss Whedon replaced him with Danny Elfman, while cinematographer Fabian Wagner continues to thank fans for their support on social media. With all this in mind, it really doesn't seem like it would take much for Warner Bros. to, well, #ReleaseTheSnyderCut!

Throw in the fact that Snyder himself continues to release various pieces of concept art and teases via his Vero account, and it's clear that the discourse surrounding the "Snyder Cut" isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

Do you guys think we'll ever get to see the original version of Justice League?

Don't understand the opposition to a Snyder cut release. If some people want to see it, why spoil their fun? Nobody would be forced to watch it.

@Nightwing1015 - I'm much more opposed to constant misinformation and speculation and teasing than I am actually releasing it. And even if WB does release something called the Snyder Cut, people won't accept it's the real Snyder Cut (which it won't be, because depending on how you frame it, the Snyder Cut could be one of ~three different stages of the movie, or a combination of pieces from those different versions). And Zack will immediately take to Vero with a new list of excuses and conspiracies and allusions to his original version that never got past the outline stage.

So, I'm not opposed to them releasing anything, but I just know we'll be right back to this nonsense again anyway even if they do.

Don't release the Snyder cut. Let the man make the sequel. Let the movie that was released be canon and follow it up with something bigger and better. We've set the stage for more Wonder Woman and Aquaman, let Pattinson's Batman be a younger Batfleck from decades past, make the frickin Flash movie already, and introduce some Lanterns and Martian Manhunter in Justice League 2. Justice League had its problems, but the essence of the story was still there. It just wasn't as epic as Snyder wanted to deliver. I don't want to see what could have been, I want to see it continue. A pipe dream, I know.

@SummersEssex - make the sequel? You're so cute.

@SummersEssex - haters gonna hate brother. I agree with you 100%! I liked his vision and his storytelling

@SummersEssex -

A JL sequel? No.
A JL relaunch, a la The Suicide Squad? More than likely.

@SummersEssex - The Flash movie is cursed like Gambit

@SummersEssex - No. His vision was horrible and way too dark.

@zachman2013 - Nope.

@GodHercules20 - Except they actually have a reason to make the Flash movie.

@Battabing - I would argue that Suicide Squad IS a sequel. At most it is a soft reboot.

@CWBNGAJEEPGUY85 - It is good to be validated.

@SummersEssex - I wouldn't say "reboot". The best term is "relaunch".

HBO Max.

Seriously, that's all.

Anything else is screaming into the wind.

Sounds like it still needs a lot of work to finish it. Maybe Warner Bros. is willing to spend some millions on the Snyder Cut, so they can release it on HBO Max? I know a lot of fans still want to see it.

Before someone calls me a troll, im more of a dc guy than marvel. But BvS was unwatchable. Idk why some people act like synders JL is some hypothetical masterpiece. Keep it locked away for all eternity.

@rebellion - Agree, seriously Snyder's best film is probably Watchmen, which is just a mostly shot for shot retelling of the book. There is also 300 (not a fan), he is not the best original story teller
GreedoSarducci
GreedoSarducci - 11/5/2019, 3:15 AM
@dracula - 300 is like Con Air and Charlie's Angels, cheesey bad but just so much fun to watch.

@GreedoSarducci - I personally find it really boring. Lots of nice action scenes but not much else
Kozmik
Kozmik - 11/5/2019, 7:42 AM
@dracula - That's the problem: Zach Snyder isn't a storyteller. He's a guy that can–quite well–shoot and assemble video in a reasonable manner. He can't tell a coherent story if his life depended on it.
