ZACK SNYDER'S JUSTICE LEAGUE Won't Lead To Spinoffs Or A Sequel According To A New Report

Before you start campaigning for #ReleaseJusticeLeaguePart2, you may want to read this new report which claims that there are no plans for Zack Snyder's Justice League to lead to future stories...

Zack Snyder's Justice League is coming to HBO Max in 2021, and the release of the movie is a huge victory for those who have spent the past two-and-a-half years campaigning for it to see the light of day.

While it's debuting on a streaming platform rather than in theaters, there are many fans who hope that it could lead to the filmmaker making his DC Extended Universe return, either with Justice League: Part 2 or perhaps a Man of Steel sequel. Unfortunately, a new report from The Wrap's Umberto Gonzalez points to this film being a "one and done" for Snyder.

"This movie is basically one and done," he explains. "This is to...close the loop, to finish the story. Maybe not the whole story, cause he did have like a three to five-picture plan. But this Snyder-verse, I’ll call it, will end with the Snyder Cut. Don’t expect any spinoffs for Batman or with Ben Affleck as Batman or any of that."

If Zack Snyder's Justice League breaks streaming record and leads to a huge influx of subscribers, there may be a slim chane the studio will move forward with some sort of follow-up. However, a director as ambitious as Snyder is unlikely to be able to do that on a tight budget, so it may be for the best if we don't get our hopes up for the time being.

Then again, we never expected to see the "Snyder Cut," so who knows what could end up happening...

That would really break my heart. I don't know how I'd ever be able to piece together my shattered existence.

@inkniron -
I hope it opens the door for Gareth Evans' Deathstroke movie (even if they have to recast).

But yeah, [frick] everything else.
