Junkie XL's JUSTICE LEAGUE Theme Is So Much Better Than Anything Composed By Danny Elfman

It was Joss Whedon who decided to fire Junkie XL and then hire Danny Elfman to compose Justice League's score but the former's theme for the team has surfaced and you won't believe how much better it is.

Justice League has been criticised for a lot of different reasons but Danny Elfman's score has been coming under fire from the second it was released last week. It's generic, lifts notes from many of his previous movies (even Avengers: Age of Ultron), and his use of Batman and Superman's themes were...well, lame. Of course, before he was hired by Joss Whedon, Junkie XL was the composer!
Whedon made the decision to let him go and now a PlayStation theme has seemingly revealed Junkie XL's original tune for the team and it's fair to say it's a considerable improvement over what we got.

For starters, it's easier to imagine this working with Zack Snyder work and it's generally just a vastly superior piece of music. Do you remember any of Elfman's work in comparison? As always, we'll let you share your thoughts on both that and Junkie XL's theme in the comments section down below.

At first it sounds like horror movie music then it sounds like a random track from man of steel. Elfman's theme is genéric but it at least sounds like a superhero theme

@Saga - that’s exactly what I thought. All I heard was a horror or a psychological thriller type of theme.

@Saga - This sounds more like it would be Steppenwolf's theme than the Justice League. It fits with Snyder's vision, because Snyder's vision generally makes it impossible to cheer for the heroes. I'd rather see a Justice League movie that was 100% Whedon and 0% Snyder than one that had any trace of Snyder at all. I could imagine Snyder doing a pretty good version of The Question though.

@xstryker - Yet you cheered for Wonder Woman in both Batman v Superman and in her solo film, both of which are Snyder's vision. YOU and half of the DC fan community may not have cheered for Superman or Batman, but the rest of us did and we cheered for everyone in Justice League and, whether Snyder directed it or not, it was his vision too.

meh. it doesn't have anything to it, it's just more drums drums drums leftovers from Zimmer, not a single recognizable melody or beat, just "BAM BAM BAM WHOOOOOOM", boooooring.
Elfman's score may be a bit generic (classic), but at least it fits and I can hum it a little bit (well, it's almost the AoU theme but still :P).
