Junkie XL was supposed to score Justice League but when Joss Whedon took over directing duties from Zack Snyder, he decided to make some changes. Danny Elfman is now working on the movie and he was recently honoured at this year's "Hollywood in Vienna" gala. Luckily, music journalist Melina Newman was on hand to ask the composer a little about his work on the upcoming ensemble.
Elfman reportedly confirmed that he recorded the score for Justice League in London last week but went on to explain that there was one piece in particular which ultimately didn't sit right with him.
Describing that as a particularly moving scene, the composer revealed that he persuaded the movie's producers to hire an entire string orchestra to improve it. What could that scene be? We obviously have no idea but it might be a character death or something similar as that would fit into this category.
It's currently not clear whether any of Junkie XL's work will remain in Justice League but Elfman's involvement is going to change the movie's sound in a major way. What do you guys think about these details? As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments section down below.
