Zack Snyder held a number of Q&A sessions over the weekend and the most interesting one arguably took place following a screening of
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice's "Ultimate Edition."
We have a recap of that for you here, but one fan has now taken to social media to claim that during a meeting with Snyder, the filmmaker confirmed that the Snyder Cut of
Justice League does indeed exist. Apparently, it's currently somewhere at Warner Bros. and its release is entirely down to them.
Snyder is more than likely referring to the version of the movie he put together before Warner Bros. execs decided that it wasn't what they wanted and ordered the reshoots that were ultimately helmed by Joss Whedon. Chances are that includes unfinished special effects, so the odds of it receiving any sort of release seem slim as the studio wouldn't want to spend even more money on it.
The best solution at this point would be for Snyder to release the screenplay or for Warner Bros. to allow him to develop it as a comic book. Whatever happens, we should probably take this fan interaction with a pinch of salt for now.
