New KICK-ASS 2 Info & Images With Chloë Moretz & Aaron Taylor-Johnson

Some great Kick-Ass 2 images from the latest Empire issue have surfaced. The highlight is two behind-the-scenes images with Chloë Moretz and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Also, director Jeff Wadlow describes working with unpredictable funnyman, Jim Carrey.

Jeff Wadlow discusses that the best lines from Jim Carrey's Colonel Stars & Stripes were ad-libbed.
"He's not as prominent as Nicolas Cage's Big Daddy in the original," says Wadlow, "but I can't imagine anyone better. It's Jim mother[frick]in' Carrey, right? I wrote the script, but two of the best lines he improvised: 'There's a dog on your balls' and 'Try to have fun, right? Otherwise, what's the point?' There was no warning, he just said'em."

I think it's safe to say that most fans are worried about Christopher Mintz-Plasse playing a vile role, like The Mother [frick]er. How can you blame us? Most of us still think of him as that lovable geek, McLovin, from Superbad. But producer Matthew Vaughn is feeling confident after audiences shared their favorable opinion of Chris' performance.
"When we did the test screening he basically kills a lot of your favourite characters, and there's some heavy, heavy shit, but the test audiences love The Mother [frick]er. 'Really? You do?' He's got that Tom Hanks thing where, no matter what he does, you still like him."

KICK-ASS 2 directed & written by Jeff Wadlow; based on the comic book created by Mark Millar and John Romita Jr.. The cast includes: Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Chloë Moretz, Jim Carrey, Lyndsy Fonseca, Yancy Butler, Donald Faison, John Leguizamo, Lindy Booth, Olga Kurkulina, and Nicolas Cage makes a cameo. It lands in theaters August 16, 2013.

Now this, this will be a movie! Bad ass action, funny, gruesome. They use costumes and follow the source material, better than most at least. Movies like The Wolverine and Days of Future Past could learn a thing or two about following the source material ;)

I don't know if you guys should include the video. It's not an officially released clip, but an unfinished leaked scene of the movie.

I like how Hit Girl is well trained, she holds her firearm the correct way.

The bad guy is a complete moron as are all those who hold & fire their pistols sideways.

@LMFA0 pretty easy for a film like Kick-Ass to follow the source material when the source material consists of 3 graphic novels, whereas the X-Men films have to try and condense about 50 years/thousands of stories into their movies - obviously the X-Men films will chop and change and deviate slightly, because a direct adaptation would be impossible. Same with any superhero movie based on a long-running character(s) - I read Avengers #1 the other day... no aliens in the entire issue. And Hulk didn't hide at the circus in the movie, either, did he?

Things change, sometimes for the better. The advantage graphic novels have is that they're written in a self-contained almost cinematic manner, making them ideal for movies, whereas long-running comics are episodic, making them more difficult to condense.

the book was half finished, not something to base a film off of.
