Exclusive report from the Hollywood Reporter announced that Michael Stuhlbarg has joined the star-filled cast of Men in Black Three. You may know him as Arnold Rothstein on HBO’s Boardwalk Empire or as the lead in The Coen Brothers 2010 film A Serious Man. Stuhlbarg is to play a character named Griffin, but little is known yet of the role as the plot detials are being kept under tight wraps. Stulbarg has some talented acting chops, he makes a good gangster, and he would make a great comic book villain in Men in Black III D. Whatever the role in Michael Stuhlbarg Men in Black 3 is truly getting a serious man.

From the Hollywood Reporter Exclusive:
“Stuhlbarg will play a character called “Griffin." Sharlto Copley circled the role late last year, but a deal never materialized.
The studio isn’t revealing too many details about the film, although it is known to feature a time travel element, allowing Brolin to play a young Tommy Lee Jones and Alice Eve, a young Emma Thompson, as the MIB agents try to save the world in 1969.
Will Smith and Josh Brolin lead the cast of the third installment of Columbia’s sci-fi comedy being directed by Barry Sonnenfeld and currently in production. The 3D movie is scheduled for a May 25, 2012 release.
(Stuhlbarg) will next be seen on the big-screen in Hugo Cabret, Martin Scorsese’s adaptation of the children’s book by Brian Selznick.”
